A compelling description is one of the best ways to attract guests and set clear expectations about your place.

Try these tips for creating your description:

• Showcase special features. Share what sets your place apart from others. For example, is the kitchen well stocked? 'Whip up a quick snack or fantastic feast in the full- equipped chef’s kitchen.'
• Be specific. Include practical information that can help guests plan ahead. For example, is the rural mobile service spotty? 'We’re off-grid, so print our directions before you leave.'
• Share the story of your place. Help guests imagine staying there. For example, did you restore an antique bath? 'Let your troubles melt away with a soak in the clawfoot tub.'
