Julie Fay is a charming and unique paddle-boat nestled amid nature in her scenic private landing, connected to mains power. Her vintage exterior contrasts with a delightfully modern decor. Five minutes from Paringa, Julie Fay is designed as a couples retreat where guests have full use of the boat but keep access to their car to explore the area. PLEASE NOTE that we only accept bookings from people residing in SA, WA, NT or Tasmania at this time.
“Just returned home and thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights onboard PS Julie Fay for a special occasion birthday. Everything you need for a weekend away is at your fingertips. Ruth also included some lovely welcome beers from the local brewery down the river, and some snacks, which was a nice touch. The free use of the kayaks/canoes is a great inclusion and the absolute best way to experience and appreciate the river and surrounds. Ruth also assisted us in choosing which routes/timings would work best. The wood heater in the lounge area also makes a stay during the chilly winter months nice and cosy! There are plenty of chairs and tables positioned around the boat to maximise the best spot of the day - whether it's the morning, lunch, afternoon or evening sun you are looking for. We spent the afternoons up on the top deck, cheerily waving at the houseboats and other boats passing us along the river. If you are a nature lover, the birdlife on the river and wetlands is fantastic. We also spotted a koala in the trees right next to us! The boat does move around and rock a little when you move around (or if a larger boat comes past), this is all part of the fun, but may not be ideal if you suffer from motion sickness! Will definitely be recommending this experience to our friends that want to visit the Riverland, they won't be disappointed!”

“Our family spent a couple of nights at Rachel’s place and absolutely loved it! Very stylishly set up, so many lovely touches and handy conveniences and in a brilliant location too - walkable to the supermarket, local playgrounds and even the local dog park. Our two dogs loved the fully fenced yard (felt very secure) and the complimentary dog treats. Great that there were toys for the kids and board games too (loved Cards Against Humanity without the kids, and Monopoly with the kids!) Must note the amazing shower too - loved the heat and the water pressure! Gold stars, highly recommend! Thanks so much Rachel!”
