Welcome to "Pouso": for those looking for comfort, simplicity and a unique experience in a traditional Mongolian yurt, hidden away on a 4 hectare olive and cork farm. This tranquil and Romantic escape is surrounded by nature and the singing of birds, the tinkling of sheep bells and the gentle rustle of the cork oak leaves. Situated within the São Mamede Natural Park, from Pouso you can walk up a medieval track to the hilltop town of Marvão where "one can see the entire land" (José Saramago).

Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. The rustic-style house features the necessary amenities for an invigorating holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where even time seems to take longer to pass. Hope you like it!

Quinta Altamira Trincadeira Cottage

Beautiful and very comfortable Chalés, with a breathtaking view of the city of Portalegre , a magnificent Sunset accompanied by the singing of the birds and the tranquilizing sound of the waters that cross this farm, we are inserted in the Natural Park of Serra de S. Serra Casa is a boutique home rental in the heart of the natural park of Serra de São Mamede. Large family house, with a swimming pool, completely private. Set in peaceful nature, we are located just 3 minutes walk from the lake where you can swim, paddleboard and kayak. There are beautiful hikes right from the doorstep. The historic town of Marvão is 15 minutes by car and the Roman ruins of Ammaia are just 5 minutes away.

In the heart of the Serra de S.Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as Kills, Olive Trees, Carvalhos or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites refreshing baths for its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused water tanks.

Off-grid experience.

This is not an Hotel. It is a paradise for those seek to unplug and reconnect to a slower pace of life while experimenting with off-grid living: solar electricity for lights, solar and firewood heating systems, low pressure water system, compost toilet, no mobile or internet networks available inside the house. You will have access to a splash tank, food garden, trekking paths and a small waterfall.

Stone cottage in the Natural Park Serra S. Mamede

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
