BABhouse Villa Jardim das Oliveiras [Olive Garden Villa] 155511/AL We invite you to our house, which was a garden planted by Pedro Machado, a grandson of the land who revived the agricultural building of his grandfather Júlio Machado. The house is modern, single-story and embraces the entire surroundings. On the slab of the house you will find a mural by the Argentine artist Tomas Facio, the work “Douro Paisagem Humana”. This mural is intended to honor the sacrifice of all the people of Douro who, with their hands, shaped the landscape of this wonderful region.

It has 1 en-suite and 3 alcoves: - suite with queen-size bed (1.50×2.00 m) and crib on request. - Alcove 1 (typical small village room) with a 1.20 x 1.90 bed. - Alcove 2 with a 1.20x1.90 bed. - Alcove 3 with a 0.90x1.90 bed.

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal.

This house is located in an old abandoned village near the river with a beautiful little beach. If you enjoy being in contact with nature, this is the ideal place; you can find otters, many varieties of birds, etc. The house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and air conditioning. The pool is shared with another house. Meals are available upon request.

The house has several patios where you can use the barbecue, the pool, relax in the hammock or sunbathe. The photos are enlightening. THE SPACE IS SO UNIQUE THAT IT HAS THE TRANQUILITY OF A RURAL SPACE BUT IS IN THE CENTER OF THE CITY OF BRAGANÇA. The heated pool can be used until November and from February.

The gorgeously designed house is located in a generations old family property and derives from the reconstruction of an ancient haystack made of stone where rabbits were once bred - hence its name (“Casa dos Coelhos” stands for “House of the Rabbits” in Portuguese).
