From the train station (2 km): Train to Munich; Train for mountain hiking and skiing to Garmisch, Mittenwald, Oberammergau.

The Starnberger See is just 500 meters away, as well as restaurants and shopping opportunities. Munich can be reached in 30 minutes by direct train or via the highway, just like the mountains.
