From the central Corso Umberto I, where you can park the car, you can only reach Casa Celeste on feet by taking a narrow street and several flight of steps - as is the case with most accommodations in Modica - but it is definitely doable. The novel "The Stone Raven" by Marco Steiner was inspired by the rocky walls of this house.

A metal gate two fields away leads you into the land, where our neighbouring farmer grazes his cows and goats amongst the ancient carob grove.

Casa Gelsomino is nestled in the heart of Modica, famous for its chocolate manufacturing and listed among the UNESCO’s Heritage Sites since 2002. Named after the wonderful jasmine that overlooks the whole terrace, it is located in an aristocratic palace dating back to the 19th century close to the Dome of San Giorgio.
