We had a very good experience, and enjoyed our stay. The house is as described and the photos are very accurate. It is a peaceful surrounding, and we heard and saw a lot of howler monkeys while relaxing on the patio and swimming. We traveled with our young daughter and would just note for families with younger children that the bedroom suite is upstairs, with the entrance and 2nd bedroom on the ground level. the drive is steep but doable. overall highly recommend.

It‘s a lovely house with a pool. It is very well located in the center of Samara close to everything. The hosts communicated very proactively and friendly.

We booked this casita last minute at the end of our trip and it was so much more than we were expecting. The space is beautiful, clean, spacious. We didn't get to use the pool because of rain, but the pool area and view were stunning! We spent a lot of time bird(and monkey) watching and taking in the view in the mornings. Hiking trails around were really nice too! Krista and Guido were soo helpful, generous, and kind! We wished we had more time at Sal Vida to enjoy the area more and if in the area again - will definitely be booking here again!

Perfection. Absolute perfection. The other reviews are spot on. Just book it already. The views can’t be beat and no picture can do it justice. Everywhere you look it is beautiful and magical: the jungle sounds, the sunsets, the amazing flora and fauna, the details and thoughtful touches. It is so perfect it is almost overwhelming. Every day, I couldn’t believe I was there. And the hosts! They are amazing! They are genuinely kind and generous, not that fake used car salesman nice. They are the real deal. Anything they recommend, just do it. Use their concierge service and do everything! You can’t go wrong. We would have stayed longer and plan to go back soon.

Just be aware that the roads in the area are all dirt and can be a bit rough, so make sure you have a car that can handle the terrain. We felt very comfortable in the beautiful casita of cally and scott. On the terrace with the pool opposite the rainforest and yet central in Samara and not far from the beach, you could relax wonderfully. And listen to the howler monkeys and birds. Even a hummingbird came to the property. Cally and Scott were super accessible. Your explanations regarding the locks, etc. were simple and good. Overall, we found a few too many rules for our taste, but that also made everything clear. The decor of the house is tasteful, which we loved.

Great location, cozy and modern home, we would definitely go back to the place , as the only recommendation to improve the lock of the entrance gate!

Chelsea was super easy to communicate with and she had wonderful suggestions/ responses to my many questions. The house is magical! Felt like we were in a castle! The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the towels and bed linens were soft and fluffy. We had howler monkeys around every morning and some friendly neighborhood dogs stopped by for attention. All in all it was an amazing stay at Chelsea's place!

Nos encantamos Casa Sea Breeze! It exceeded our expectations and made for a wonderful time spent in Sámara! Bathroom set up was great for a family beach trip, interior space was lovely and the outdoor space was incredible and very well maintained! The outdoor shower was great after time spent at the beach. Beds were very comfy, AC in the bedrooms made for a great night’s rest and the decor was lovely too. Oscar and his mom were wonderful hosts, truly welcoming and so very helpful. Location on the beach was stunning and perfect, along with the close proximity to town. Truly one of the best homes we’ve vacationed in, and we’re hopeful to return one day!

From the first contact (a few days before arrival) to the day after departure, we were very well taken care of. Jacquie was super responsive and provided plenty of information. The house was very spacious and comfortable. With our two young children it was a great stay. The house looked very neat and nice, the pool was sparkling clean and a party for our children. We had a lovely stay at the House of G. Favourite things about this place were the views of the ocean, the mix of fruit trees, hearing howler monkeys, bird watching (and listening), and the modern architecture. Air conditioning was only on the upper floor bedrooms, so the upper bathrm was hot and the lower level got pretty hot too. The ceiling fans helped and so did the breeze. On the plus side, it forced us to use the outdoor living space more than we probably would have if the lower level had a/c and the pool/outdoor shower offered a quick refresher when needed. The place required a key transfer from super friendly Luis. It would have been easier and more private if there was a lock box setup, but then we wouldn’t have met Luis, so key swapped worked out just fine. We found it easier to make the quick drive to Samara than walk, to avoid walking on the narrow main road. It was easy to find on street parking in Samara. Perfect hidden gem right next to awesome beach

We had a great time at Julio’s. The place is short walk from the beach and the town center. There are plenty of sodas near by. Loved the accessibility, we could go grab something to eat and go the beach and head back change and go out for drinks. Though we had a car, we loved the accessibility and preferred walking. Julio was very friendly and gave us good recommendations and was very responsive.

What a special place tucked away in Punta Islita, yet still a part of the larger hotel/resort amenities. Exceeded expectations. Perfect for 2 families joining up for a vacation, who need a kitchen, laundry and pool yet can still figure out some adult private time. Loved the proximity to the beach, pool and bar there. It's a 10 min walk on a walkway covered by trees for most of it- needed in the dry/hot season. It was super helpful to be connected with site manager/concierge, he and Nancy both helped with questions. We did a bunch of activities (saw monkeys with a guide right outside and surfed) and got to relax. Very worth the bumpy ride out. Have your 4x4 and your all set.

The house has great location… safe and secure… two nice rooms and two separate bedrooms… nice deck and area in front house!!!

Great stay, location is great, peaceful and beautiful right on the ocean. The place is a great rental, everything you need without any of the extra clutter. Super clean and efficient. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome. Right on the beach. Make breakfast while seeing and hearing the ocean. Kitchen stocked to cook at home if you want. Air conditions keeps it perfectly cool. 10 minute walk to town. On site at the property was Maggie who could not have been more helpful and informative. She gave us the best info for eating and surfing. A very special person. We will definitely be back.

Casa Morpho exceeded our expectations. With a spacious kitchen and great room overlooking the back patio, pool, and backyard, as well as three comfortable bedrooms with air conditioning, the accommodations were excellent for our five-night stay in Samara. (A fourth bedroom / office adjoins the great room and does not currently have air conditioning or window blinds.) Seeing and hearing howler monkeys was awesome; they enjoyed visiting the mango tree on a couple of occasions during our stay. When we requested that a couple of light bulbs be replaced, the hosts quickly responded and took care of the issue. Our only minor gripe was that water pressure was low in the shower in the upstairs bathroom. Also, listen to the hosts when they say you should have an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to get up the steep driveway! Our vehicle did not have four-wheel drive and we had to park at the top of the driveway. All in all, it was a great stay, and we would stay at Casa Morpho again.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa Daydream, and Anna was the perfect host! The Guanacaste house exceeded all our expectations—everything was in perfect working order, and the beds were so comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. We were greeted with a beautiful basket of fresh fruit upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. It set the tone for a stay full of warmth and care. The location couldn’t have been more ideal—just far enough outside of Sámara to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the jungle and the occasional visit from howler monkeys, but still close enough to walk into town easily. It truly gave us the best of both worlds! The pool was a highlight, especially in the heat of the day. It was so refreshing, and my son spent countless joyful hours splashing and playing—he absolutely loved it. Such a great home and location for our young family’s week in CR! We spent a ton of time enjoying the pool and beach. We frequented downtown Samara once or twice a day - so many shops, restaurants, friendly people. Maria checked in several times but all was smooth at the house. Highly recommend

Best host in the world 🌎

We had an amazing time staying here. It’s just the right amount of remote, super peaceful and surrounded by nature, but still close to everything you want to do. Honestly, it was more than we could’ve wished for. The place itself is beautiful, with jungle all around, constant sounds of birds and animals, and an incredible view. Will was an awesome host. Being a local, he gave us the best tips – where to surf, great places to eat, and even where to get the freshest fish (or catch it yourself!). As others have said, you’ll definitely need a quad or a car to get there because the road is bumpy. But honestly, that just added to the fun and you should get one anyway for the best CR experience. When we visit Santa Teresa again we would definitely stay here again. Totally recommend it to anyone!

This place is stunning! It's up in the hills and super quiet. This modern home was beautiful and immaculate and had everything we needed. All the glass windows remind you that you are in the jungle and to slow down, what an amazing space. Claudia the property manager is fantastic and responsive. My family of 5 had an amazing time here! Our three boys (16, 13, and 8) loved the house, the pool, and the great vibe here. The house and surroundings are even better than the pictures, which is saying something since the pictures made it look like paradise. Monica was extremely responsive—more so than any host I’ve ever dealt with previously. They have everything you could possibly need for your stay. The area is gorgeous and Playa Grande is a cute town with great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.
