Unfortunately, we were only able to use the room during the day as we had to fly out that evening. The B&B was very stylishly furnished and very clean. For the short time we were there, Yannik was very helpful and made us as comfortable as possible. I had booked this B&B for a different date but was unable to keep it due to ferry disruptions. Maria and Yannik were very understanding and accommodating. Since I get along well in this neighborhood, it was easy for us. The area is quiet and safe. It's not that far from the sea, shops, and bank. You can't cook for yourself in a B&B, but we were able to get takeaway and enjoy a leisurely meal in the living room of the apartment. If I need a place to stay in Palmarejo for 1-2 nights again, I would definitely book with Maria and Yannik. Despite the very short stay, meeting Yannik and the B&B were very nice.

The apartment, on the fourth floor of a secured, upmarket condominium, was very spacious and light, featuring three balconies and large windows with a fantastic view onto the hills of Praia, the parliament building, the direct neighborhood, as well as the sea. The property was located approximately 100 meters off the coast, as the crow flies, a little out of town, but yet within 20 minutes' walking distance of the main shopping street of Palmarejo. We had an own lot in the basement garage for our car. The apartment was very tidy and clean upon our arrival; the kitchen well equipped; the beds comfortable. We communicated with our host exclusively in writing, at some point being asked to top up the electricity meter inside the flat. The pool on the roof-top could do with a slightly higher wind deflector. On the day of our departure, the cleaning lady was already waiting in front of the door. Overall, we did enjoy our stay very much and recommend this place without reservation!

This unit looked exactly as the pictures. Check in was very easy and flexible. The host responded in a timely manner. When I first arrived, there was a few issues but they were resolved within a few hours. The host is willing to work with you to get whatever is you need.

Syd's guesthouse is a small haven of peace in a good safe neighborhood, close to the beautiful beaches of Praia and the seaside restaurants. Breakfast included in the price is very good, homemade with local recipes and changes every day. The room is good, with everything you need to have a good stay. The guesthouse serves food on weekday evenings and the tacos are excellent! Finally Sydney as well as the guesthouse team are lovely, very available and always ready to help. A big thank you to the whole team, you made us discover Cape Verde off the tourist circuit and we loved this 5-day stay with you, as if we were at home 🙏
