Cecily’s place is so beautiful! Its matches the description, she is super proactive and left us clear instructions on how to check-in and what to do. It’s easy to get to amazing places like Hornby and Denmen Island for her place.

Stephen and Esther have thought of everything to make your stay seamless. There were instructions for everything, including operating the appliances (there's even a mini dishwasher!). There were also labels on all light switches, automatic night lights throughout the space, and bedside lamps with both USB outlets and wireless charging on both sides of the bed! They also provided a fantastic and generous selection of coffee and tea. Even after all of this, if I had a question, Stephen and Esther were always super quick to respond. Another huge bonus for me was meeting Pepper, who has to be the quietest, friendliest dog ever!

we enjoyed our stay, accommodation was spacious with good amenities. A short walk to supermarket and a few eateries. The bus stop was a five minute walk away with a short ride in both directions, to town to catch the ferry, visit the museum or just check out the old part of town and the mall in the opposite direction with its foodcourt and fantastic array of shops. A fifteen minute walk to the hopital. plenty of walking opportunities on the doorstep. The only downside for us was nowhere to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Thank you Jessica for the home baked loaf, it was enjoyed immensely.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful beachside rental! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how peaceful and welcoming the space felt. The view of the ocean was absolutely breathtaking — we spent every morning with a coffee on the deck, watching the waves roll in. Beach access was just steps away, making it easy to enjoy long walks, swims, and sunsets without ever needing to get in the car. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, providing helpful local tips and ensuring we felt at home. Every detail — from the cozy linens to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen — made it clear they truly care about their guests’ experience. This place is a gem. We left feeling rested, refreshed, and already dreaming about our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape by the sea.

The place far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we would have needed to not go anywhere the whole time. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking necessities, the kind beds in every room with vaulted ceilings made us feel like the boujee girls we want to be. The views were breathtaking and being able to have all of our meals outdoors with heat and covering made it so memorable. The house came with cars and outdoor games too to use on the nice open yard. It really felt like the place was ours. The icing on the cake was the chairs, wood and starters to make our own little beach fire right below the house and roast marshmallows while watching the sunset. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Definitely coming back!

We had a great time at Scott's place. It was well equipped, comfortable and felt very homely and welcoming. Scott was very friendly and responded immediately to any queries. He gave us helpful tips for local walks and wildlife viewing. We particularly loved watching hummingbirds just outside the lounge windows. We would recommend Karmix Cottage to anyone wanting a get away from it all break, but within easy reach of beaches, waterfalls and forests.

Unbeatable location and top-notch amenities

We had a great stay! The sauna, cold plunge and hot tub were awesome. Lots of space to hang out, cook meals and play board games. An easy drive or 10 min walk to amenities- great place, I’d come back again!

Katy and Dave were incredible hosts - they made sure the hot tub was warm for us each day and were responsive to whatever we needed. The place itself is GORGEOUS - we didn’t leave once and were entertained the entire time, even in the rain. It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to be back at some point! Can’t recommend enough.

Our stay was beyond amazing! The host truly surpassed our expectations with thoughtful personal touches, including toys for our kids, and was incredibly responsive throughout our stay. They thought of everything we could need, making it a completely stress-free and relaxing experience. The location is perfect, with plenty of food options and outdoor activities, plus great fishing nearby. The place itself is spacious, spotless, and comfortable. A beautiful, serene little place, right on the waterfront. It had everything I could have needed (I wasn't really planning to cook for myself but if I'd wanted to, the kitchen was fully equipped). I was looking for quiet few days for a solo retreat and reflection time, and Cheryl's place was ideal. Right on the waterfront, tables and chairs to sit outside and enjoy gazing at the ocean (some bunnies came by to visit), and a beautiful, majestic eagle kept watch over me while I was there. I heard but was not quite lucky enough to see a sea lion barking at the water's edge, and there were graceful herons taking flight and landing. I recommend the schnitzel Haus conveniently located across the street because I practically waddled back home, it was so filling and delicious. The unit was just as described, clean, comfortable, a perfect getaway. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Enjoyed the privacy of the unit and the beauty of Pacific Shores Resort. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes and pots and pans. Heidi communicated well with good information.

Beautiful apartment with a really nice unobstructed sea view. Everything just like in the photos, clean and lots of natural light. I really enjoyed the beautiful bathroom…very nicely done. The bed is huge and very comfy as well. The view from the rooms and balconies is exceptional and really lovely. The whole property is really nice and well maintained. Especially enjoyed the bbq areas and fireplaces in the common areas. Communication was very good and check in instructions easy and clear. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the sea and nature of Vancouver Island. You would definitely need a car there, as there is not so much to do in a walking distance. Closes town is approx. 5 - 10 min. Drive. Ferry in Nanaimo about 20-30 minutes. Very convenient!

Staying with Chelsea’s place was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the home was cozy and clean, and lots of activities to do. We are planning to go back next year. Highly recommended!
