Unser Haus mit 2 FWen befindet sich in ruhiger Lage am Fuße des Rauensteins, direkt am Malerweg. In ca. 600 m erreichen Sie Elberadweg, Fähranlegestelle, das Erlebnisbad und Gaststätten. Gute Ausgangsbasis für Wanderungen, Radtouren, ebenso für Besuche von Burgen und Schlössern sowie Sehenswürdigkeiten. In ca. 500 m befindet sich die S-Bahnstation "Stadt Wehlen".

City of Wehlen Markthaus - Vacation rental - Apartment

The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a rest stop, post office and inn. In 1850, a massive extension was built in the classicist style. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

Our house is a 270-year-old timber-framed house that we have lovingly renovated and remodeled. As far as possible, we have preserved or restored the old wooden floorboards or wooden framework. Our garden is designed in such a way that living beings that are native there can still feel comfortable, such as salamanders, hedgehogs, fireflies, kingfishers and wild bees. Anyone who stays in the garden for a long time can observe these many rare inhabitants in our garden.
