We're 25 minutes from Natchitoches on Black Lake. We are in a secluded area of a dead end road. Enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by Spanish moss covered trees. Under the covered front porch, you'll find comfortable seating with great views of the lake. The large windows provide lake views and let in plenty of natural light. Spend the day in town shopping or enjoying a festival. Return home to relax with a meal on the grill or a glass of wine with friends around the firepit.

The cottage is located down a dead end dirt road that will make you feel hours from town (though you won't actually be)! Hunter's welcome! We had a great weekend celebrating the wedding of our son and new daughter-in-law! Their wedding officiant and came to the house for the ceremony which they did right out on the dock. It was a beautiful setting for photos. We loved the house - everything was so clean and comfortable. The porch swing was lovely - a few more good rocking chairs would be great so everything can enjoy the comfort and beauty of the views from the porch. We loved the firepit and the availability of camp chairs to all sit around it. The dining room table was perfect for playing cards and enjoying meals together. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

This place was possible my favorite Airbnb house of all time. I might actually like it better than my own house. It is absolutely wonderful and beautifully decorated too. It smells clean and nice, the beds and pillows are outstanding, and really just everything about it is awesome. I cannot wait to return asap! Lisa is an excellent host and very helpful, responsive, and accommodating! You will NOT be disappointed here.

I have never experienced an AIRBNB like this one. I personally love places that offer peace and privacy which "The Ameila" provides. It is secluded yet not far from stores and restaurants. When I first walked in a noticed how clean and organized it was as well as how good it smelled. Misty left some fresh baked cookies as well as coffee pods, creamer and water bottles in the refrigerator. The bed is very comfortable. I have to give Misty a 10/10 host wise. She came to our rescue straight way when we accidently locked ourselves out. We will definitely be renting "The Amelia" again in the future.
