Townhouse holiday rentals in Polk County

Ashely and family do a WONDERFUL job on their cute old historic townhouse right in the heart of Ames! So easy to walk to ice cream, food, snacks/convenience mart (Casey’s) and Starbucks. Less than 10 min walk! Easy great parking and easy in and out. Loved the living room and cute little candy tray she left for us. Bedrooms were comfortable, though like a goofball I left some lights on at night for us in the rooms that attracted some buggies. As she states it’s an older home that would come with some of those guys they just get in. Not her fault at all and it was so so clean and comfortable. Happy to stay again when in Ames.

Honestly such a nice place it's worth staying more than one night. A quiet and beautiful neighborhood showed what was to come inside the home. A large and wonderfully decorated bedroom with an absolutely pristine bathroom; the shower looked like it was newly installed it was so clean. Nice hand soaps and towels provided in the kitchen. The bed was on a little on the hard side for my liking but I still slept well. The house was also the perfect temperature for cold-blooded me; I felt nice and toasty. Wendy herself was very friendly as were her cute cats!

Kyla delivered again! She is an amazing hostess living in an amazing townhouse. She’s very thoughtful and provides many extras.

Really cozy & homey. Extremely clean & well kept. Loved the record player & vinyl selection. Extra touches like all the phone chargers around the house & tissues in every room was really great. I appreciated the cold water in the fridge & ice in the freezer. Walking in to a comfortable AC temp going on a hot day was really great! Easy to find in a very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely book again.

Scott’s place was very comfortable and perfect for our week in Des Moines , very close to shops and restaurants , cafes all walking distance.i hope to stay again when next in Des Moines . Thanks Scott

We stayed last week at Char's place in Windsor Heights. We were pleased with the convenient location and having 3 separate bedrooms (with very comfortable beds in each!). Char was very good about communication, both before and during our stay. We appreciated the quiet neighborhood and that Char provided games, books, coffee, and snacks for us. We also liked having plenty of bath towels during our visit. We would stay here again if the price is within our budget.

What a cute and comfortable stay! Exactly like the photos. Beds on the second floor provided a good night's sleep. With a full bath upstairs it was nice having a half bath on the main level. Coffee and sitting out front topped off a great stay. We felt safe in the neighborhood and could park our cars in the driveay. Lacey was so kind and reponsive to anything we needed. We'll be back next time we're in town!

This townhouse was a fantastic find for downtown Des Moines. It was quickly walkable to several breweries and restaurants, and a quick drive to the downtown Farmer's Market. Katie was responsive and helpful when we had questions, and my family had a wonderful time at her space. We will book this spot on our next visit to Des Moines!

Exactly as described and had all we needed. The driveway was a bit tight, but with parking in the garage, no problem. The only negative was the traffic noise at night. The intersection near the townhouse stayed busy and the motor cycle people enjoy their loud pipes. It's a very nice spot and with 3 levels you can spread out if you have multiple people.

Location was perfect. We were within 10 minutes of most places we wanted to go. The home was comfortable.

This place is gorgeous, the pictures don’t do it justice. Near downtown and right on the trail system, I really loved my stay.

Close to coffee, Fareway and gas stations. We came to the area for adventures at Blank Park Zoo as a moms and kids trip. This place was perfect for that.

This was one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at! The house has a neat layout and perfect for all age groups. We had a group aged 3-86 and it was spacious and homey. Katie and Aaron thought of everything, we loved the light decor and open layout of everything. It’s not too crowded, but has everything you could possibly need. I liked that there were baby gates available to block off the stairs for our little traveler. The outdoor space is awesome and we loved having a few extra camping chairs available to use on top of the other patio furniture. Everything was comfortable and clean, everyone slept well and it was quiet. I liked the headboards with the extra lighting and the charging stations at bedside. Location is great, we went to the zoo, about a 15 min drive. Our kids loved the game and movie room, and the coloring books and crayons were a nice surprise. Thank you for such a beautiful space, we will definitely be back and recommend to anyone going to the Des Moines area.

We had a very nice stay. Clean & cozy. I just wish our stay wasn’t as short.

this is a very nice place. The master bed was very comfortable, best nights sleep I've had while traveling. The location is great & code to a lot of things, restaurants, grocery store, c-store.. very easy access. All of the amenities of home. I'd stay here again if I were to return to Ankeny.
