Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Pointe aux Piments

We enjoyed here a full month in May 2025. Strong points: - First of all, the apartment was CLEAN. I confess my wife is a cleanliness freak, she had very minor objections regarding the cleanliness. This is really rare for her! - The owners were very receptive to all our requests. - The apartment is very big. It can easily accommodate 2 families with kids (middle bedroom is equipped for children), if they can manage the usage of the only bathroom. However, the shower and the toilet are each isolated in it's own space, meaning that shower, toilet and sink can be used by 3 persons in the same time. - A beautiful beach is 200 mtrs away. - Bus stop at 100 mtrs. - A restaurant just across the street, fair cooking and prices. Weak points: - Hot water is produced by solar panels. Next morning after a cloudy day the water may be not hot enough. - The location is in an quite isolated neighbourhood, so if you are a fan of nightlife (not our case, however) you must rent a car or use a taxi.

Nathalie was super, she helped us in every way possible. Having a nice clean and tidy home is important, but the real difference is made by people! The housekeeper Sharmela also kept the house in perfect order and prepared a delicious Mauritian lunch for us. The house is perfect for children who can play safely. We recommend a stay of at least 7 days so you don't suffer too much when you leave the house. Thanks to all the staff

We really enjoyed our week-long stay at Anne and Dominique's accommodation. They are very available and responsive hosts and they gave us the best recommendations for activities and restaurants nearby. They are warm and love to receive visitors. The accommodation offered a superb view of Tamarin Bay and we saw incredible sunsets. The accommodation has everything you need to have a good time (reception, barbecue, swimming pool, proximity to excursions, etc.). We would definitely recommend! Sincerely, Thibault and Céline

Perfect location, beautiful apartment with everything you need inside: a small balcony to enjoy the sun in the morning during breakfast, a seating area with two swings to relax when returning from visits, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. Not to mention the outside with its large swimming pool, its well-stocked weight room, the relaxation area, the barbecue area... everything is beautiful. Great hosts who best advise you on things to visit, very kind, respectful, attentive and attentive. I was able to share a grill and rum party with them and it was perfect. I recommend 1000% and will be back for sure! See you soon.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed – the thoughtful little gift and delicious snacks were such a kind and personal touch. The space itself was not only clean and beautifully arranged, but also full of warmth and charm, making it so easy to feel right at home. The host went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available if I had any questions. That genuine care and attention made all the difference. The apartment was really great! The location in Black River (west of Mauritius) is perfect for excursions and daily supply (supermarket, restaurants, boulangerie etc.) is just around the corner. The apartment complex is very nice, clean, safe and well maintained. The pool and the lookout from there on black River Bay and Le Mourne is tremendously great - not only for sunsets. The apartment itself doesn’t lack anything. It was perfectly clean, felt very nice, private and welcome to be inside of it and the balcony is great to enjoy your food or just to relax. It’s in our opinion of a perfect size for four people (family) and the available utensils/ items in the kitchen are well thought-through. Priscilla is a wonderful host with a perfect balance of being very helpful, friendly and reliable without forcing you to anything. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we experienced it.

nice accommodation. the only downside the road dangerous enough to go out and the beach difficult to walk because no sidewalk to go to the beach of the bowl.

Michel is a pleasant, discreet and helpful host, very responsive and gives good advice He booked all our excursions, including the restaurant, taxi and rental car. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and exactly matches the description. I highly recommend it.

A very nice stay at this place: having a private pool was really nice! It should also be noted that the rooms are very spacious. The neighborhood is residential, very quiet and is quite close to the amenities and the most beautiful beaches on the island. For the rest everything is in line with what we see in the photos. I recommend it!

We had a pleasurable stay at the villa. It was clean and aircondition was superb. The pool was wonderful. All required kitchen equipment was available and modern. Location was acceptable and close enough to local supermarkets and the beach.

Quiet area but convenient to services and the wonderful Mont Choisy beach 10 min. walk. Bus stop for all other destinations 100 m away. Spacious apartment with large terrace that can be wonderfully used both day and night, fully equipped kitchen with small appliances available and basic necessities available such as sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, oil. Spacious air-conditioned rooms with comfortable beds and huge bathroom with shower and whirlpool tub with shampoo, conditioner and soap available. Washing machine with detergent, very useful for those of us who have stayed for a long time. The real PLUS, however, concerns the owners, Radha and Michael, really helpful and in any case discreet, always ready to assist you with any little request for help. As great travelers, we can say that we have never found hosts so attentive to the guest. ULTRA RECOMMENDED

Jaqueline’s place is a true gem—compact yet fully equipped and beautifully designed. It looks even better in person and instantly felt like home. Just 200 meters from the beach and a short walk to a large supermarket, the location is perfect. Wish we had an extra day to enjoy it!

Valerie’s home is beautiful as described and pictures are accurate. Jocelyne, the friendly housekeeper is very dedicated and helpful in keeping the home top notch. The beach in front is not the best for swimming but gives a great view and evening walks are mesmerizing right when u step out of the home. Since this was our first stay in an Airbnb, we were not sure what to expect, but this place sets a big benchmark for our future stays. Loved the stay, great location with all needs met nearby. Local restaurants on the beach and road are great. Best place to stay if in Mauritius. Cheers.

we had a great stay in this very nice apartment. feels like home. we have done a lot of cooking , the kitchen has all what you need. everything was good, the bed, the seating area, the terrace with nice view on nature. the area is very quiet and Ashwin mother is very friendly et very helpful. we will surely come back to this place if, hopefully on day, we ever come back to Grand Baie.

3 nights at the Charming Condo perfect for discovering Tamarin, Le Morne, Black River and the Black River Gorges! The location is perfect for travellers travelling by bus. This was our case and Sébastien provided us with all the directions to get to the accommodation from the East of Mauritius. Easy and super accessible! Pleasant surprise on our arrival with the little extras and attentions of our hosts: welcome basket and beach towels provided, perfect for an aperitif on the nearby beach! The first aid kit (yes, we don't think about it enough!) is perfect for small injuries after visiting the National Park! And the perfect location close to restaurants! We enjoyed the Jiva for breakfast and the Happy Rahja or Osaka Sushi for dinner! Bonus for Sébastien's availability, responsiveness and impeccable accommodation. I recommend without hesitation, between friends or family, the charming Condo will be ideal for your stay in the south west of Mauritius.

Mr.Ahmad the host is very crisp and clear, helpful and a great guide. His hospitality is 10/10 His AirBnB is hardly 5 mins walking distance from Pereybere Beach (North Mauritius) , there is a big supermarket- WINNERS near this beach and also has plenty of food options This AirBnB is very peaceful and has lot of empty space once u enter the main gate

My family had a wonderful stay at Daren’s apartment! It is very close to the beach, it’s clean and most importantly, Daren is a fantastic host. He was responsive, flexible and very helpful with all requests. Definitely recommend staying here! :)

Beautiful apartment just across the beach, the view from the balcony was amazing. Lot of restaurants in walkable distance and Bil was very helpful with reccos.

it was a fantastic stay of 5 days with family... Jenny and Vincent were very responsive and helpful... the only thing I would mention, being an Indian, we were feeling need of a foster or jet spray in the WC... :-)
