Appartement next to the lake (perfect wide space to see Aurora) and just a few kilometers from the airport of Ivalo (but it is a quiet space, we could not hear the aircrafts). The house got everything you need. In less than half an hour you can drive to Saariselkä there you can do crosscountry skiing an other activities. It was a pleasure to meet Anna, she is heartfelt, answered our questions really quick, gave us many tipps and we could even taste the fresh fish after ice fishing. We really recommend Annas place! We will come back.

Mökki sijaitsee hienolla paikalla ja sinne oli helppo mennä. Mökki toimii erittäin esim. kalastavan porukan tukikohtana. Mökillä on kaikki tarpeellinen. Myös hyvät ja selkeät ohjeet helpottavat kävijää tullessa ja lähtiessä. Varmasti tulee varattua uudelleen tarpeen tullen.

Such a picturesque spot, the photos don’t do it justice. Cabin was comfortable and warm and sauna and hot tub were welcome. Anne-Marie was super helpful and arranged winter clothes, snowshoes, huskies and snowmobiles for us. We also hired a car from north 70, who own this place- really easy to collect at ivalo airport and drop off there again when we’re finished with it. The car is pretty old but works well and the 4x4 is good on the ice and snow. The supermarket in nuorguam is big and had everything we needed whilst we were there.

We truly enjoyed our 4 day stay in this cabin. A place to calm down and enjoy the little things. A good homemade cooked meal, exploring nature and spending time offline with people who matter to you. The most adventurous part for us was crossing the lake. We knew the ice was at least 40cm deep but the sun had melted the first few layers, creating little puddles and slush like ice. For somebody who is not experienced in crossing frozen lakes, it was definitely a thrill for us. But it was worth it, we saw reindeers, northern lights and plenty of different birds on the island which we had to ourselves. The sauna was a wonderful place to really warm up daily and relax. We hope to return one day back to this beautiful cabin! Maybe in the summer, next time 😊

Staying with Maria truly made my days in Lapland, otherwise, I might have just been disappointed by the cloudy weather. Thanks to her warm hospitality, I was able to enjoy unexpected activities I wouldn’t have known about, and I also felt a real sense of homeliness by enjoying many benefits from staying in her house. I especially appreciated her welcoming attitude toward foreigners like me, which made my travel even more memorable. I’m genuinely considering visiting again with my family if our schedules allow! I strongly recommend her house to anyone looking for a good location to see the Northern Lights (it's located right next to a river) and hoping for an extra gift like a true feeling of being welcomed, not just a place to stay :)

Das Haus liegt wunderschön, die Ausstattung ist klasse. Die Lage ist toll, man kann zu Fuß über den See zum Einkauf und zum Kaffee trinken. Räumlichkeiten ausreichend. Da die einzelnen Doppelzimmer sehr unterschiedliche Größen haben, muss man sich einigen.

Localisation : superbe endroit isolé près d'un lac. silence apaisant. Belle nature. Il faut être en voiture. Le logement est très cozy surtout le soir avec le type d'éclairage. Pour cuisiner, il y a un poêle à bois ancien avec plaque en fonte et à côté une plaque à induction. Donc si vous voulez cuisiner avec plus de 2 casseroles, l'induction ne suffit pas. Magnifique poêle de masse qui permet de belles flambées et facile d'utilisation. Un mode d'emploi très bien fait est fourni. Sauna à bois ce qui est plus agréable que le sauna électrique, super odeur de bois. On n'y prête pas attention sur le plan mais il faut passer par la terrasse donc l'extérieur pour aller du séjour à la salle de bain et wc. Cela se fait très bien même la nuit :) par -15°. C'est original et on se sent encore plus en Finlande !! Accessoires de cuisine en nombre suffisant, bonne literie. Rideaux occultants à toutes les fenêtres. On s'y sent bien. Nous recommandons ! 😊

Die Kommunikation mit Eevi war sehr angenehm, die Reaktionszeiten vor und während des Aufenthalts stets schnell. Eevi und ihr Mann Tomi waren ausserordentlich hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns Ideen für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung gegeben und uns benachrichtigt, wenn Nordlichter zu sehen waren. Die zur Miete vereinbarten Utensilien (Schneeschuhe etc.) waren am Ankunftstag ausnahmslos vorhanden. Als es etwas kälter wurde (-28°C), stellte uns Eevi Socken und zusätzliche Decken zur Verfügung. Für das geschlossene Cheminée im Haupthaus und den Ofen im Saunahäuschen war genügend Brennholz vorhanden. Die Nordlichter (fast jeden Abend/jede Nacht) konnten wir vom Vorplatz des Hauses beobachten. Wir verbrachten zwei fantastische Wochen in Nuorgam und genossen das gemütliche Haus, die Sauna sowie die Natur. Eevi ist eine sehr freundliche und gute Gastgeberin, die ich bestens empfehle.
