Holiday rentals with beach access in Playas del Coco

My husband and I took our first family vacation with our 2.5 year old son, and Pedro's home was the perfect family-friendly location. First, the home itself felt even nicer than shown in the pictures. The home was spotless, spacious, and included everything we needed for our stay. Our toddler was delighted by all of the beach and pool toys on the property, and the pool has a large shallow ledge that made swimming much more accessible to him. The pool was cleaned every morning by the groundskeeper who was very friendly. The property is fully gated, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing that Pedro and his wife lived on the third floor, and the groundskeeper also lived on the property. That said, our stay still felt private. The location and views simply cannot be beat. Each evening, the sun sets directly in front of the property over the ocean. Playa Hermosa as a whole was quiet, calm, and welcoming, and I'd argue that Pedro's home is the best property there.

Arcadia is the sanctuary you've always dreamt of, especially sunsets. I always made sure I was there to watch the sun go down, as that view is breathtaking. This place far exceeded our expectations, and the host was more than accommodating. Have and would HIGHLY recommend this remote spot, it is everything and more!!!!

Sandy and Melissa have a great place within walking distance to the beach! the space has everything you need and is clean and easy to find. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing and unforgettable stay at the Treehouse! Colleen was such a friendly and helpful host providing very detailed instructions and local recommendations. The Treehouse was immaculate, well-appointed, and had everything you need to feel right at home. We cooked breakfast and dinner almost everyday during our stay and enjoyed the spectacular view from inside and on the patio. The only challenge we had was fighting off the bugs from outside, but just be prepared for that when traveling to Costa Rica. They’re everywhere! We were also able to enjoy the infinity pool (all to ourselves in the mornings!) which was a short walk away. Overall, a very enjoyable trip to Costa Rica. I would highly recommend staying at the Treehouse if you like privacy, amazing views, and outdoor trails.

Kathy’s condo was in the best location with walkability to the beach and many restaurants. Everything was convenient. This was my first time to Costa Rica and seems to be common but there was no hot shower. It was non issue for us because it was pretty hot daily but didn’t have it on the radar because I am from the US. Everything was great and the host was communicative. Would absolutely stay again!

What a lovely community! The Aquamarine complex is adorable, the pool is perfect, the apartment is tidy and well equipped, and the location is great. Proximity to the airport is a huge plus! Juan Pablo is an excellent on site manager of the property. Lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance (The Wave Bar was great) and a 5 min walk to Coco beach! Wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay here again if coming to the area, and will highly recommend to friends and family as well.

You will not regret staying here. My boyfriend and I had an unforgettable experience here in cocoa. The view really is that good & the pictures really are accurate. We came during the off season and got great weather, little rain but mostly sunny, and we are already rebooking during peak season. We fell in love with Costa Rica here. Thank you Dean! Lovely condo we will be revisiting soon! If you come you have to go to the restaurant Mar Azul right down the street walking distance! Incredible food great service.

Paulino, our host, was readily available whenever needed and responded to all questions including recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The home is in a beautiful gated community. It is quiet and private. The pool was well maintained. The kitchen was clean and functioned well. The beds were comfortable. Patio furniture comfortable. Lots of activities to do within a half hour drive. On our last night Paulino sent a private chef (Maria Fernanda who owns the local Momo Cafe) to cook a three course dinner for us at the villa! It was an amazing experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this villa, Paulino, Maria, and the Coco beach location to anyone looking for an easy, relaxing, and unique vacation experience.

Camille and her mom are wonderful hosts. The house was like a beautiful dream. It smelled so good every time I entered. The pool was always clean. I saw many animals. We didn't want to leave, but we would definitely come back again with my family to stay longer. The nature, the animals, the birds—I was truly happy there. I recommend that future guests be aware that if the directions don't lead you past Flamingo Beach, you might be on the wrong path. It's better to take the longer route to be sure.

The Casa Vera Vista was a beautiful villa on the cliff side over looking the bay with the most beautiful sunsets. The villa was close to the beach and great restaurants plus a good starting point for many excursions. The concierge team was always there when we needed them throughout the entire trip as well as with planning prior to arriving. The house was very clean, decorated very tastefully and had comfortable beds. The daily cleaning service was very helpful with three kiddos in tow. We had two dinners and breakfast with the recommended chefs and they exceeded our expectations, with both delicious food and friendly company. Our driver Raudy was always on time, professional and was very helpful in getting around with our busy itinerary. We definitely did a lot on our trip (zip lining, deep sea fishing, ATVs, snorkeling, rainforest, waterfalls, hot springs etc) and staying at the villa with the concierge service made it that much more special. Our family of 4 really enjoyed this home. We loved the pool and used it multiple times a day. The pool area is perfect to listen and watch the monkeys. We cooked meals in the kitchen, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make meals. The community was very clean and safe. Lots of options to eat near by and the grocery store was close and easy to get to. Anytime we had a question they would respond very quickly. New houses are being built around the house so there is noise during the day, but that is mentioned in the write up.

Theresa and Darren were amazing hosts! our flight arrived at 6 am and we were at the house by 12. Theresa said that because they didn't have anyone checking out we could check in early which was amazing. we had a little difficulty finding the house but that was our fault and when I messaged Theresa she answer right away with a pin allowing us to find the house instantly! Throughout the stay Theresa and Darren were very thoughtful, responsive, proactive and helpful! Anything we needed they either offered for us to barrow theirs, told us where to buy it or bought one themselves for the house. Lastly, when our other Airbnb cancelled on us last minute they agreed without any hesitation to have us stay one more night. the location was fantastic, the beach was a 5 minute walk as described as well as downtown. The pool was a great bonus as well as the AC. Would definitely recommend and will without a doubt be going back! thank you for everything!

When we booked the place we knew the location was where we wanted to be. However, the house far surpassed the photos. Absolutely stunning views, pool views and well appointed accommodations. We absolutely loved it! We will be back!!

For some reason the room have only hot water,but, is just an small detail, the place is so nice and calm, I will back for sure

My husband and I started off our honeymoon at The Spyglass. The views are incredible and we absolutely love Ocotal Beach and Father rooster. They have excellent ceviche!!! Super fresh and we own a seafood company so we know fresh! The pool was beautiful. The bed comfortable. Good water pressure. Powerful AC splitters in the bedrooms. We were very comfortable at Spyglass and definitely plan to go back. Cherie was extremely helpful answering any questions I had. She was very quick to respond.

Awesome place and great host

We had a great stay! Walked to the beach every evening for a sunset swim. Tara and Tyson provided towels, beach chairs, beach bag and a wagon to pull it all over. We used the pool almost every day, but heads up, during the dry season, lots of leaves fall. This DID NOT STOP us from enjoying it! Oh and lots of iguanas to watch and locate every morning. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the patio over looking the pool. The patio also had a great BBQ to grill up dinners. One of the little, but great things, is the lock box to keep the house key in, never worried about losing it.

This place is fantastic, spotless, well equipped, secure, easy to access and a beautiful ocean view. The beach chairs/umbrella are a great bonus which we used to enjoy Playa Flamingo in comfort David is a generous, responsive host. Thank you for hosting us.

We really enjoyed staying at Emilie’s place. We were able to walk from the condo all over playa coco. We were three girls and we felt completely safe. We would definitely stay here again!!

We loved our stay here! Diana’s home is lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed having all necessary items-including beach gear-and enjoyed the pool after our outings. Diana’s recommendations were fantastic and led us to several memorable sunsets and delicious meals. We would love to return. It’s a wonderful home base for exploring the north coast.

Joanna was a great host. Flexible and very accommodating when we’d made a mistake with our booking. Due to the time difference communication was a little delayed but that couldn’t be helped but needs to be considered. The apartment was perfect with all the amenities you’d require. Pacifico itself is a beautiful complex with everything you need right on hand. The pacifico complex has standards and rules that are gently enforced by the local security chaps who were all lovely so it’s nothing more than gentle advice if they feel the need. Kids jumping in the pool or music a little too late were two examples we encountered. None of this took away from a lovely stay in a lovely place.

Loved staying at Katie & Happy’s place! It was a little walk from downtown Tamarindo, but we loved making the walk and noticed a lot of people utilized the scooters all around or had rented golf carts, which we would have opted for if we brought our kids. They provided beach towels and chairs that we used often and a filtered water pitcher in the fridge so that saved us on purchasing bottled water, which was so helpful. There was a little market close by and several amazing restaurants. The pizza place across the street was the best pizza we’ve ever had and I went to the nearby snack shack for açaí bowls and coffee almost daily. Langosta was a beautiful area to stay in with close private beach access. We were also able to walk the beach to Tamarindo at low tide. We loved this place and location and would definitely stay here again! Thanks Katie & Happy!

Great place to stay! Very clean and well taken care of condo in a safe area. The pool and area outside the condo is very nice and a great spot to hangout. We had a rental car which made the short drive in to town very easy.
