Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Playa Gigante

We loved CasAnica, it was in a great location, close to both beaches and a regular shuttle also was available to get us into San Juan Del Sur when we needed. Tony was also a great and accommodating host. We hope to come back to Nicaragua and stay again!

Such a beautiful place, love the house layout and the views are awesome… Very comfortable place with everything you might need for your stay. Rudy and Alex (Rudy’s place caretaker) are very kind and friendly people, always eager to make your stay the best they can.

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! Our stay at Elisha’s was lovely. She was very helpful and supportive throughout the stay. The property was beautiful and served perfectly.

Can't say enough about Casa Margarita. It was a wonderful trip, made even better by a communicative, helpful, engaged owner. I'm hesitant to write such a glowing review because I want it to be available when I return to Guasacate next year! It would be a fool's errand to try to encompass my thoughts, as I'd leave something important out, but it's a safe bet that you'll enjoy your stay at Casa Margarita. I'll certainly be back soon.

Carrie was extremely proactive and responsive in helpful finalizing the reservation after I made some mistakes. She and the caretakers also accommodated our late check-in, still assisting and showing the place so we could get settled quickly. The place was as described and the photos accurately represented what we received. All the rooms were clean and prepped well for our arrival. We also took advantage of some extra cooking services provided by the catchers. They accommodated our requests and we were blown away by the food and service!

Incredible place, great attention to detail. If you’re looking for a quiet secluded spot away from town this is it.

Undoubtedly one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed at in San Juan Del South! The host was great always looked out for us by giving us directions and making our stay more peaceful. If we had any questions or queries, Jimmi would respond almost immediately! The super stylish, comfortable apartment. A spectacle to see the sunset from the bathtub that is located at the highest point, it was crazy the view of the bay from there. We will definitely be visiting this place again very soon.

Corrin and Jacq were exceptional hosts. Always present and super attentive. The house, in turn, is perfect: excellent location, equipped with everything you need (and a little more) and extremely comfortable and pleasant. It was an amazing experience, which I recommend to everyone (especially those who surf, in view of the two “world class” waves located inside the condominium).

I booked this place for 2 nights for my wife and family (8 guests) We had a great time , it rained the first day but there is space on the property to relax and stay dry. Helpful and friendly staff and a really nice Place to stay with guests. Would recommend.

Nice location away from the noise of san juan. We had a car, so the distance did not bother us. Do keep mind there is a limit for the amount of watts you use. It was a good amount daily and we actually didn't even hit the max, so not a big deal.

Uri was a huge help, great manager. Always got us what we needed then and there. Juan Pablo was great as well, always answered any questions immediately and made our stay super easy. Nice kitchen and everything you need for a long term stay. Walking distance to the beach, both grocery stores and Dog Town. Already planning our next trip back!

The house is old and wooden, giving it a unique and nostalgic personality. It is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities expected of a BnB. It has a very large garden space where our pet was able to explore and feel free. An excellent experience would be back again.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

superb value for money. We paid about $26 per night in the rainy season. plenty of space, modern furnishings, good amenities in the kitchen. Close to the beach. Because of other reviews: Insects are quite normal in Nicaragua. If none were there, it would make me suspicious because then probably an environmentally harmful insecticide was used. Power outages are also normal. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the internet as a result, but Rosie and chilano were very helpful. Chilano also takes you to the nearest supermarket by motorbike. Drinking water is also provided free of charge on the property.

Our stay at Todd's house was refreshingly delightful. The house, with its expansive yard, was a hit with my son and pet, offering ample space for play and relaxation. Todd's swift and helpful responses to our questions made everything run smoothly. A special note of appreciation goes to his caretaker, Maximo and his family, whose genuine care and assistance were invaluable in making us feel at home. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic stay. Thanks, Todd!

I recently stayed at Mike’s place within the Iguana property and had a great experience. The location is excellent, situated right next to the entrance gate. Mike was super helpful and always available to assist. Although the description doesn’t specify, the bed is a queen size, which is slightly larger than it appears in the photos (a double bed) a pleasant surprise! The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away, or just a 3-minute drive. Since we had visited before, we were aware of this detail. Initially, we were concerned about potential noise due to the proximity to a brewery and restaurants, but it was quiet, and we slept well. We’ll definitely plan to go back!
