Cottage holiday rentals in Platte Lake

We had an amazing time at Salma’s big beautiful cottage! It’s like something out of a dream. The cottage itself is very beautifully designed with lots of wooden features & accents both within the interior and exterior. We fell in love with its beauty. It’s super spacious inside and has everything you need for a dreamy cottage weekend. The outdoor hot tub with string lights were a very cute touch! The large property is nestled within a lovely outdoor wooded area that feels far away from busy life but is actually only 15-20 minutes away from most local Traverse city places! So it makes for a great location that is best of both worlds. The cottage was very clean and it was very easy to spend the day lounging around in and then enjoy its cozy nature in the evenings. Salma was very kind and easy to communicate with! She was a wonderful host. We really loved staying here and would love to return someday. This is a true one of kind gem and I’m sure you’d make some wonderful memories here too.

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

Cute house with a nice backyard area! Host is very proactive with communication and consistently encourages you to reach out if you need anything. Very easy to check-in and locate items throughout the house.

We had an amazing stay! The space was exactly as described - clean, stylish, and cozy. It was an ideal location, close enough to shops, restaurants, and trails, but still tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Would recommend!

Such a nice Stay in Beulah! The place was so clean and came with so many perks! Games and a Bluetooth speaker, plenty of towels, bathroom with a heated fan, EXTRA COTS! Check in and check out was a breeze and the host was very friendly with their communication! All around a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hike, beach or relax.

Cannot recommend this host and this property enough. Nathan was communicative while we were still looking at the property, and responded quickly through the rest of the process until check out. He provided great recommendations for local places to try out and we had a peaceful stay. The property was roomier than expected for the master and cozy for the spare rooms, and we especially loved the living room and outdoor furniture. So happy to have found this gem of a place and excited to come back in the future!

We had a great holiday weekend at the cabin for the Bayshore Marathon. It is very clean and has everything we needed and more. It had a seccluded woodsy feel in spite of being very near the main parts of town and walkable. Close to the beach, the start trail but private with a wooded back yard and creek running through the property. 3 mile is noisy and busy as is 31 but it didn’t bother us. We brought ear plugs just in case.

Tucked away in a quiet rural setting, it’s the kind of place that immediately makes you feel welcome and at ease. Everything about it is homey—from the cute nautical theme to the thoughtfully stocked kitchen. The large deck is perfect for a cup of coffee with birds serenading, views of wildlife, and fresh air. The fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows, stargazing ( northern lights), or just relaxing with a glass of wine and good conversation Highly recommended for a restful, charming getaway.

I loved this Airbnb! It was a perfect size and was beautiful. Super close to town yet still felt like we had a quiet neighborhood to stay in as well. Our host was the sweetest and communicated so well with us. If I ever need to come back to lake city, I would love to stay here again!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Directly on the lake with an area for our kids to play, a dock to enjoy and an awesome porch and outdoor firepit. The house was very clean and had all cookware and basic items we needed. Great place for fun with the family or just go relax and unwind.

My family and I had a great stay at Robert's home. It was exactly what we were looking for in a long weekend in the Leelanau/Suttons Bay wine country with hiking trails, scenic roadways, and outdoor activities that we had in store. Robert was very accommodating and the home was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet rural space to recharge. We would love to stay here again if we make it back up that way. We had a great stay (just my wife and I) plus our old dog Polly. The place was perfect. Very quiet surroundings, wonderful peaceful atmostphere inside and the best place to hang out in the evening and mornings was the outdoor covered deck. This place had everything we were looking for and more. I highly recommend it. We only used on of the three bedrooms that were available but regardless of the number of people staying it share a large open living space that was just what we needed for our gathering purposes. Ben was able to accommodate my last minute stay and I’m so appreciative! I was hoping to get away from the city and enjoy watching the lake with my partner and pup. We were obsessed with the sunroom, multiple board games/puzzle available, watching movies and just catching back up. The lake is still a bit chilly which worked for me because nobody else was out and about! It was such a peaceful, calming trip and I would definitely come back.

House was very comfortable and easy for my elderly mother to get around. The handicap ramp and large bedroom and bathroom on the main floor made it possible for her enjoy the weekend. Road noise was not a problem once inside the house. The house was very organized and well equipped with everything we needed. We chose this place because we were traveling with a small dog and they even had dog supplies handy, leashes and paw wipes, right by the front door. The communication with the host was also amazing.

This is an amazing property with a remarkable view over the lake. It is a very tranquil location and it is easy to feel close to nature. The cabin is very well appointed and was perfect! The host was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall a five star property and experience. Highly recommended!

Little Skip Cottage was absolutely gorgeous & cozy — just perfect for our honeymoon. We loved everything about it and will certainly be back!

Elise was a wonderful host! We have loved visiting Frankfort every year, and usually camp nearby. This year, at 34wks pregnant, their home was the comfortable space needed for a quick weekend getaway. The home was located so perfectly in Frankfort, and was a short drive from Sleeping Bear Dunes. We could enjoy walks downtown and by Lake Michigan, but we’re never too far from the coziness of the home. The home was clean, well taken care of, and so cozy to stay in.

everything was great...beautiful lake with nice dock, has boat, kayaks and a dock that we waded out to..water was clear and could wade out barefoot..will stay again when opportunity arises.

Stephanie was great to work with and very accommodating. Wish the TV had more than just streaming as we enjoy watching local programming/news. Place was very clean and well kept. Had everything we needed. We would stay again.

Mary is an amazing hostess whom is very kind, responsive, and drama-free. This house has AMAZING energy, an en-suite downstairs and another upstairs, while there is a kitchen/living room, deck, 100% private grounds, etc. The beautiful lake is literally just feet away, and this location has tons of shops, restaurants, fuel stations, etc., within walking distance, as well as very short driving distance. I highly recommend this home.

12/10 ⭐️ Words cannot describe how perfect our stay was, and it all starts with the hosts… David was very kind and communicative and the home was spotless. Everything has been very well thought out with the guests’ experience prioritized. The decor is cozy and inviting with an up north/lake house theme. The breathtaking sunsets and lake views will leave you wishing you had booked a longer stay. Thank you for sharing such a truly amazing place! We are already arranging our next visit!

Our 4 person vacation group had a great 3 night stay at Shirley's beautiful lakefront home. The view was spectacular and the house was clean, neat, comfortable and perfect. Shirley and ray greeted us at check-in, walked the property and house with us, and Ray gave us area history, recommendations and a map showing the best local beaches, restaurants, hikes and wineries. This house is highly recommend.

The cottage was cute with everything we needed for a weekend stay. We brought our toddler, and it was pretty easy to babyproof. The property is peaceful and private, and the location is perfect just 20-30 minutes from Traverse City and the dunes.
