Hug A Highland allows guests to visit our family owned and operated farm to brush, love, and take nonprofessional pictures with our Scottish Highlands and miniature donkeys! Guests will be on a real working farm which makes it an educational experience about where and how their food is grown. We will go into the pasture or barn, brushes in hand, to get up close and personal with the animals. During the experience, guests will learn about each individual animal and the history of the farm. After the hour, there is a hand washing station and small gift shop to look around in! MUST BE 10 YEARS OR OLDER TO PARTICIPATE

Explain the concept of nutrient solutions, pH levels, and water conservation. Phase 2 (15 min) Explain how to choose the right plants for Kratky Hydroponics. Demonstrate how to mix and manage the nutrient solutions and discuss the importance of maintaining proper pH levels. Phase 3 (1 hour) Participants start assembling their Kratky hydroponic grow kits by placing growing medium in containers, insert net pots, and prepare for seed planting. Participants plant seeds in their grow kits. while being guided on seed depth and spacing. Labels are provided to identify the planted seeds. Phase 4 and Closing Activities (30 mins) Discussion of common problems in Kratky hydroponics (e.g., pests, algae, nutrient deficiencies). Provide solutions and preventive measures for these issues. Learn how to recognize and address early plant growth issues. Discuss how to care for and maintain their Kratky systems at home. Provide participants with a follow-up resource packet, including care instructions, maintenance tips, and additional resources. You can choose to feed and groom any of our beloved farm animals. We will supply treats and brushes. If weather permits and you desire, we will assist you to sit on or ride the horse in a round pen. Dragonfly Meadows is the home of rescue horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, one cat & more animals to come. Our team offers an experience to all those interested in learning and loving on our animals. Located on over 120 acres near Perry Lake just 25 mins from Lawrence or Topeka, and 50 mins from Kansas City. Do you have your RV in tow? Manhattan Skyline Kayak Tour

With this in mind, I founded Resilience Adventures, an organization that offers eco-focused kayak and paddleboard experiences on the beautiful Hudson River with the Manhattan Skyline as backdrop. The Manhattan Skyline Eco-Tour is a beginner-level kayak experience which includes basic instruction first and then a group (or private) kayak tour on the Hudson River. The tour travels along the Hoboken waterfront with stunning views of the Manhattan Skyline. The distance traveled depends on the skill/speed of the group. The duration of the entire experience, including instruction, is 1.5 hours after participant check-in. Note: This tour is also available as a stand-up paddleboarding experience for intermediate-level paddleboarders. Beginner paddleboarders should opt for our Learn to Paddleboard lesson instead.

I'll lead you on a hike through a beautiful deciduous forest complete with a duck pond melodious frogs and sweeping clover meadows teaching you the lost art of plant medicine. I'll show you how to identify many plants that can be used in your day to day life and in survival situations. The best part is, many of these plants grow almost everywhere and you'll be able to apply your new knowledge everywhere you go. I'll teach you a couple memory techniques so you'll actually remember what you learn. For example, you'll want to remember plantago major. This first aid herb stops bleeding, relieves itching (from poison ivy, mosquito bites and more), reduces swelling, and even reduces pain almost instantly! I've become best friends with it because it has helped me SO many times and I'd love to introduce you to it too! We'll also talk about risk awareness and risk assessment. I'll encourage you to define where you personally are on a scale and share practices to reduce risks. I'm happy to take pics of you and your group as we go on this beautiful and truly empowering experience. If you want a personal guide to show you edible plants, you are a survivalist, or you just want to see the magic in nature, this experience is for you. In the riding ring, you will have the opportunity to mount your horse and learn how to steer and control your horse and become comfortable before embarking on the trail ride. Once you are comfortable, you will be guided on a private tour of our 52 acre estate where you will go through woods, open fields, across ridge lines and enjoy being on a horse with breathtaking mountain views. On the ride we will also snap a few complimentary pictures for you to share with friends and family or add to your social media. At the end of your ride, we will help you dismount and you will have the opportunity to love on your horse and snap a few extra last minute selfies.

Sheep Snuggle Session w/ Photography Included

What a wonderful opportunity to snuggle the famous Valais Blacknose Sheep, often referred to as "the Cutest Sheep in the World" in person. These sheep have a cult like following all over the world and now they are here in the United States as well! Whispering Pines is part of the Valais Blacknose Sheep breed-up program in North America, and our farm has one of the few domestic purebred lambs in the USA! During your experience you will be able to meet and pet our lambs and sheep while trying not to fall in love. This year's lambs are due in mid-March 2025 and will be thrilled to snuggle with you beginning in April. This experience comes complete with a professional photographer! All photos come FREE with the experience and are edited and emailed to you electronically through DropBox within 5 business days by our farm photographer. These pictures are yours to keep and there are no other costs associated, so feel free to use them as you wish. Seating, hand wipes and bottled water provided with our experiences. CAUTION: Valais Blacknose Sheep are VERY personable and love attention. They are often referred to as large fluffy dogs, but in sheep form. Lambs might want to sniff, lick, cuddle you and might insist on sitting in your lap.

Fishing in New York City's iconic Central Park

Join me for a very unique experience of fishing in New York City's iconic Central Park! We will fish at one of two locations in Central Park: 1. The Meer is an 11 acre lake that borders the Upper West Side, Harlem and Upper East Side and has gorgeous views of the city and a great perspective of Central Park. 2. The Pond is a 3.8 acre lake on the south end of the park and has views of The Plaza Hotel and is close to Times Square. If you are booking as a group (or individual) and would prefer a different time or location in the park, please message me and I can work to accommodate those requests. All fishing equipment, tackle and guidance is included. The lake has multiple species of fish including largemouth bass, crappie, carp, bullhead catfish and sunfish. There are also lots of other animal wildlife we can observe while we are out fishing. I will provide drinks and snacks along the way and we'll take lots of photos for you to remember! All experience levels are welcome. If you have never fished before or are an avid fisher, I think you will have a great time. This tour is great for: 1. Families 2.
