The site is located in the former headquarters of Engenho Pinturas, a century-old sugar cane mill. Here, historical traces are still preserved that tell the story of more than 26 mills that moved the economy of the region. Pilões is known for its remaining Atlantic Forest, mountainous climate and is part of the 'Caminhos do Frio' (Cold Paths) itinerary, with rivers, trails and waterfalls.
