This cabin is perfect to experience the remote quiet life in the country yet it is only 6 miles to the nearest town of Byrdstown TN which is absolutely charming. It still has the southern hospitality in which we all love and endure. This cabin is less than 11 miles from the prestigous Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina where there is a multitude of water activities to do including a sandy beach area at the Obey River Recreation Area.

All rooms have a view of the lake and the deck overlook Dale Hollow. We are a mile from Wolf River Boat Dock. The suite is downstairs with a private entrance. There are walking paths that encompasses 3 acres on the property. The private deck has a fire pit for chilly mornings to enjoy coffee or relaxing evening. Enjoy the lovely setting of this quiet spot in nature. 15 minutes to Pickett Park or Twin Arches. Local winery in town is about 10 minutes away. We are about 8 minutes from Walmart and downtown Jamestown. Alvin York Park is about 20 minutes away. South Fork National Park is about 20 minutes away. Pogue Creek State Natural Area is about 10 minutes away. We do have chicken's and bee's. We do sell eggs to our guests at discounted price.

We absolutely love Kendra's place. This is our second year to stay and we will keep coming back. She is very quick to respond when we had a question. The house is a great fit for our family. It is close enough to the town square to walk to dinner or the shops.

My family and I stayed for two nights and found this place to be a nice, peaceful spot. It was wonderful to wake up and drink coffee on the porch, by the river. It was a short drive (15-20 mins) to down to get breakfast and dinner. House was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Hosts were very responsive to a few questions we had. Would stay here again.

A delightful stay in every respect! The one thing that impressed me most is how the hosts have designed this cabin (including front porch and large back deck) with every inch of space inviting comfortable use and relaxation. It is a bit of an architectural gem in that it's more than just "cozy" and clean; it positively invites you to settle into the space and relax. This was especially valuable for me as a solo traveler seeking peace in nature and a comfortable space to read and reflect. It was quite hot when I was there so the A/C in the remote control coupled with the ceiling fans were fantastic. Oliver was great in communication. One last thing: I did not use the hot tub (shame on me!), and this review would be just as positive as one for the same cabin without the hot tub. Thank you, Oliver and Amy, for a great stay!
