Very happy with this stay! The home was plenty big, each room is huge. Beds are comfy, kitchen is stocked, scenery is amazing. The house is truly tucked away and private. It took about 35-40 min to get to broadway, but didn’t have any issues getting Ubers. As a group of 13, our favorite parts were the front porch & chairs for everyone, the size of the rooms so we could all have our suitcases open and still have space, and the overall area it’s in. If you’re a group of girls, I’d suggest bringing a few extra make up mirrors!

Whatever you seek, Billy Goat cabin is probably the place you’re looking for! Some of the most thoughtful, friendly and kind owners we’ve ever stayed with. They make sure their guests are taken care of and more - we had a sweet personalized message and fresh eggs for us upon arrival. There is clearly a lot of thought put into the decor of the cabin - it feels like home. The beautiful grounds were perfect for disconnecting from it all and relaxing, and the chickens and goats were adorable. A plus is that it’s only 30-40 minutes from Nashville, and around an hour and a half from Manmoth Cave too! Would highly recommend and hope to come back one day.

House is secluded and surrounded with beautiful wooded scenery. Had everything we needed and enough space to comfortably fit everyone in our Nash Bash group. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Didn’t get time to check out a lot of the property just because of rain, but everything we saw was beautiful, and the house was super cozy so staying in was nice too. Had a great stay.

It was the perfect getaway for us and was beyond relaxing! Peggy had the house set up perfectly for us and we loved every second of that getaway!

This cabin was perfect for us! We found it comfortable and very peaceful. We had two small bucks in velvet visit one morning-even licking the bottom of the grill that was on the front porch! My son-in-law spotted a skunk in the front yard, so seeing the area wildlife was a plus. The hosts were very quick to respond and were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. If you’re in the Nashville area, but want a quaint cozy stay, this is the ideal place.

Beautiful location. Wonderful rustic cabin with all the necessary amenities, including a washer and dryer and wi-fi. (personal note: leave your cell phone and tablet at home for maximum enjoyment) Make sure to bring plenty of deet if you leave the paved area. We could easily have stayed several more days if we had had the time.

The cabin was absolutely adorable and clean! There are a couple negative reviews about the bucket shower, but we absolutely loved it! It was so fun. The area is beautiful and the hosts were kind.

Very cute cabin in the woods. Peaceful and cozy. Didn't get to use the fire pit but it looked nice. small fenced in area for dogs was perfect for letting them get some energy out.

Cabin itself is adorable and clean. Very cozy and location is convenient even though it’s a busier road. We knew where the location was prior to booking but might have been a little disappointed had we not known. It was perfect for a quick low key girls weekend

I would highly recommend this stay to any of my friends and family. It was such a homey feeling. This place brought me back to growing up on the farm minus the live stock. We look forward to visiting again.

Our stay at Karen's place exceeded our expectations. Karen was an excellent hostess and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. Her house was beautiful, extremely clean, well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and in a bucolic location.

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay. The living room and kitchen space were perfect for slow mornings with coffee and cooking big group dinners at night. (There is a grocery store minutes away that came in clutch.) The back porch is a dream. The view is unreal and the natural surroundings are so peaceful. The beds were all comfortable and we left feeling so rested!

We had a wonderful experience at this cabin during our Thanksgiving holiday! The cabin was spotlessly clean and had everything our family needed to feel right at home. Tammi went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even checking in with us to make sure everything was perfect. She also treated us to some delicious goodies, which was such a thoughtful touch! The space itself was lovely—charming decor, cozy atmosphere, and all the resort-like amenities made our stay feel extra special. The property was peaceful and serene, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing family getaway. We truly felt spoiled and appreciated every moment of our stay. We can't wait to return to the area and would love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay!

Our second year staying here for a weekend! We adore this spot. We visited the vineyard next door this time and had such a lovely evening listening to live music, then after enjoyed the fire pit back at the cabin. Hope to be back again next year!

It was a pleasure to stay at Margaret Ann’s place! It’s a great spot in a beautiful part of the country… ideal for some peaceful downtime with a great local vibe. Margaret Ann was very attentive, responsive, and helped us navigate the local scene. I’d highly recommend staying here and I’d certainly come back next time we are in town!

The cottage and its lush surroundings was even better than described. Immediately upon arrival we all knew we wouldn’t want to leave! It’s very private and embedded in a fairytale-like forest with views from every window, especially the master bedroom. We awoke to birds singing, enjoyed coffee and conversation on the large wrap porch, took little hikes thru the woods. While checking out antiques in Leipers Fork we met American Pickers’ Mike Wolf, who lives nearby, and he recommended Fox & Locke for lunch. He was right - it was delicious! We ventured into Franklin for more exploration and found the Dortch Stove Works factory which is being converted to shops, dining and theater venues. We loved the long rolling drive to/from the cottage as well as variety of foliage. It was absolutely beautiful, inside and outside, and it was secluded which met our needs! I slept better than I have in a very long time. Thank you!

The cabin was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. It strikes the perfect balance of cozy and modern — ideal for enjoying a peaceful retreat in nature while still being close to the charm of downtown Ashland. Kim was a fantastic host: communicative, kind, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for her guests. The attention to detail was evident, from the comfortable bed and well-stocked kitchen to the little personal touches that made the space feel like home. I especially loved starting my mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee and ending my evenings under the stars. I left feeling refreshed and grateful — I’d absolutely stay here again next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!
