Ranger's Retreat cabin at Big South Fork

The Ranger's Retreat (RR) cabin by Big South Fork will give you all the privacy you want and still convenient to town for the essentials. All of this plus with one of the Southeasts' premier National Park area's in your backyard. The RR cabin is a genuine log cabin made of real white pine logs. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a loft. The RR cabin is great for couples, but the loft with 2 twin beds provides room for a total of 4. Dog friendly (sorry no cats).

A Little Closer to Heaven Primitive Tree house

This little tree house is primitive with no electricity and no water but has a bath house nearby. This is tent camping in a tree house. Located behind the historic R.M. Brooks Store, it is the perfect place to find peace and beauty . Perfect for hikers. Rest in the huge branches of this nearly 100 year old Oak Tree. A Queen bed awaits you for your restful nights sleep. Underneath you can picnic at the table or swing in the swing that hangs below. This is the perfect place to unplug.

All rooms have a view of the lake and the deck overlooks Dale Hollow. We are a mile from Wolf River Boat Dock. The suite is downstairs with a private entrance. There are walking paths that encompasses 3 acres on the property. The private deck has a fire pit for chilly mornings to enjoy coffee or relaxing evening. Enjoy the lovely setting of this quiet spot in nature. 15 minutes to Pickett Park or Twin Arches. Local winery in town is about 10 minutes away. We are about 8 minutes from Walmart and downtown Jamestown. Alvin York Park is about 20 minutes away. South Fork National Park is about 20 minutes away. Pogue Creek State Natural Area is about 10 minutes away. We do have chicken's and bee's. We do sell eggs to our guests at discounted price.
