Holiday rentals with lake access in Otsego County

We absolutely loved Bluejay Cottage! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like the perfect getaway, open, airy, peaceful, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful Michigan charm. Everything was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable with crisp white sheets, the towels plush and plentiful, and the home had everything we could possibly need. The host didn’t miss a single detail, they thought of everything! The screened-in sunroom became our favorite hangout spot for coffee, games, and watching the stunning sunrises over the lake. We had so much fun using the paddleboards and ending our nights by the fire pit making s’mores! The care and love put into every detail was clear. It’s rare to find a place this flawless, cozy, elegant, and truly restorative. In all our years of using Airbnb this is our favorite! We didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to return to this unforgettable lakeside retreat!

Gem on the Lake! Words cannot describe how perfect this made my friends trip! There was more than enough space available for everyone! the lake on the property is so calm and relaxing it feels like it's a private lake! Water is very nice and the fishing was amazing! kitchen is well Stocked with ample cooking supplies and seasonings. bathrooms are insanely big! All the beds were Legendary comfortable as well! I could go on about how great this palce is but you'll have to see it for yourselves! if you have any second guesses don't! Just book it!!

my family has had an extended stay at lisas home throughout an unexpected event in our lives. Lisa has been extremely communicative, helpful, and gracious. we have never felt more welcome especially in a time of need. we so appreciate Lisa and her wonderful home. Beautiful surroundings to distress are an added bonus.

My husband said to put it on the top of re-rent list, highly suggest! The house is rustic in the perfect up north vibes kinda way while keeping all the nice amententies of home. There was plenty of space inside and out.The little lake and view from the deck are beautiful! The privacy and large yard give plenty to do even on somewhat rainy cloudy days, we had fires, kayaked, hiked. We went to the community pool on a nice hot day, the pool was nicely heated, clean and had a great view. It was also connected to a bar and grill that brings cocktails and food to you. We grilled and ate like kings and it was so nice to have the stocked kitchen and grill, the ice maker was a perfect touch and the variety of ways to make coffee and or tea were so thoughtful. We are already talking about when we could go again! Thank you for the wonderful mini vacation❤️

Beautiful home and a great host. Plenty of space for our group of 10. Close to all of the golf that Gaylord has to offer. Highly recommend.

Lovey home. Beautiful location. Very clean. Amply stocked. Great communication. For those who have problems with many stairs…. This is NOT a good fit. There are twenty steps each time you enter or leave the home. Outside there are more stairs to move to the lower level.

Wonderful place to stay! Went for a golf trip slept 8 of us comfortably. 15 min from tree tops resorts and surrounding golf courses all close. I would recommend for future golfers!

Very convenient to downtown.

We really enjoyed staying at Fawn’s place!! This was a top tier place! She thought of everything and provided so many extras like snacks, an assortment of drinks and even chocolates on the pillows. The decor was very well done and it was so clean and comfortable. It was a great spot to stay as we explored some of north Michigan. We slept well and the surroundings were very peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again without any hesitation. Fawn was quick to answer questions and help in any way. We enjoyed staying here very much!!

We enjoyed our stay. This room was perfect for a few night stay, had basic kitchen amenities, Roku worked well, couch and lighting gave it cozy feel. Room was very clean, good use of small space. Great location. Communicative hosts. We would stay again.

John and his wife were both extremely nice and welcoming! My friend and I didn’t realize how bad the mosquitos are there this time of year so John gave us bug spray to use after he turned on the fire pit for us to enjoy. Beautiful lot as well, highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay while in town to ski. Easy walking distance to restaurants for a person that enjoys walking, even in the cold. Thanks for letting us stay in your cute airbnb!! Don and Jill

Our stay was perfect! There is even a shuttle on property that you call and they will come pick you up and take you to the base of Boyne Mountain! Great property for a weekend getaway!

Very nice rental, exactly as pictured. Location was perfect for skiing, tubing, indoor pool access, resort restaurants. Everything within minutes to Schuss Mountain, Shanty Creek or Bellaire (Short’s brewery). Very cozy space. Fireplace was great, comfortable seating/bed, coffee pods. Would definitely come back.

Great host. In town for a soccer tournament and it fit our needs perfectly. The view was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee on the deck. Thanks Todd!

Steven is an excellent host that made sure we had everything we needed. He has worked hard to make sure the cabin is in great shape ready to receive guests. The cabin worked well as a base camp for my family of 5. We were able to head out to a variety of activities that were an hour or less away as well as enjoy the floating mat in the lake. My youngest even had the chance to row her first boat and went out for a fishing trip too.

Perfect place to stay when in the area for a wedding! Saundra was communicative and very friendly. The place was just as listed, clean, and comfortable.

Great place to stay although we were only there for work. It was fun coming home to a great sized house with plenty to do to keep us entertained while away from home.

This was an outstanding cottage for a winter getaway for our family! It was a great location close to multiple ski resorts and downtown Gaylord. We enjoyed getting to ski, tube, horseback ride, and play in the snow outside of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything was clean and cozy! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Dawn was an excellent communicator and didn’t hesitate to give us recommendations in the area and check in to make sure all is well. When we got snow overnight, there was even someone to shuffle and plow immediately in the morning. We would absolutely come back!

This is a great place. Private location, good size cottage, large sandy area on the lake, great for kids. It was our second time coming here and we’ll be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin. The house was very clean and I think the basement was newly renovated and it was perfect for the kids with lots of fun games to play. Fishing on the lake was also a highlight. Highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway!

very nice place to stay with plenty of space

This place was great - even without AC. The lake dock with pedal boat, kayak, and rowboat was fantastic. We made s’mores sitting around the fire pit. The teen boys loved getting out in the lake! There are many bugs which we Californians are not used to but we got used to them. We even found “Chippy the Chipmunk” inside the house - luckily we were able to get him outside by using a trail of bread pieces to the front door. We also enjoyed the nearby race track - added bonus when we arrived as there was a racing event going on - the teen boys loved it! The house is well stocked with the essentials and not too far from stores and shopping. Great memories made in this house!
