Gamlestugu – a charming log cabin in Skjåk

Gamlestugu is a charming 19th-century timber house measuring approximately 50 square metres. It is located on the farm Søre Gjeilo in Skjåk municipality, 7 km from Lom. About 10 km from Bismo. Gamlestugu comprises a living room/kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a small hallway. One bedroom has a double bed and one with bunk beds, 4 beds in total. There's Wi-Fi and TV here. Pets are welcome. The cabin is located right next to Gjeilo Camping. There are linnen and towels included in the price. The final cleaning is included in the price. Warm Welcome!

The log cabin is 100 years old, but significantly renovated with a new bathroom, rehabilitated kitchen, new windows, new roof and new floors. There is a lot of wood and cozy decor. For those who really want to experience the best Helgøya has to offer. Villa Leonore is a summer house built for tramway director Dybwad's wife Leonore in 1915. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities on Helgøya, for walking, running and cycling.
