Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Oita

Yumiko’s place was unique and a great base for our stay in Minamiaso. She had great recommendations. We have not had the pleasure of staying in a Japanese home before and found it very comfortable. The container gallery was one of our favourite spots. We had breakfast, coffee and dinner there. The kitchen was well equipped. Area was quiet and the location was great. Can’t wait to stay here again! Thank you so much!

We loved our stay at this place. It was very spacious for the two of us and we enjoyed using the private onsen. It would have been easier to find the place if the outside light was left on before we arrived.

Highly recommend if you want to be around nature and have a place to escape after exploring the surrounding cities. Matsui-san and his wife were very warm and kind to us even though our Japanese was very basic. We were welcomed to the Airbnb with a wonderful BBQ which they helped us set up and clean up. Breakfast was delicious. The cute barn swallows nesting outside the house made it feel so special as well. It is an incredibly clean and well taken care of camping space. We really appreciated Matsui-san and his wife’s care for us that made the stay wonderful.

Absolutely loved this place! The private onsen was amazing—peaceful, clean, and so relaxing. The room was cozy and well-kept, and the host was super kind. A perfect little escape. Would definitely stay again!

Masahide's house is a delight, the most comfortable we have been able to enjoy in Japan. The setting is beautiful, we were able to have our breakfasts in the garden and walk around the house. The summit of Mount Aso is only 25 minutes away by car. Everything you need to cook is available in the house, salt, sugar, oils... and there is even a dishwasher, a unique case in a month of travel in Japan. Finally, Masahide is really a remarkable host, very helpful, English speaking and friendly. We should have stayed longer!

House is not difficult to find, in a quiet but convenient location in Aso. House is dated but well equipped. However taller guests do be careful of the middle ceiling as my 1.78cm son kept knocking his head when he was walking around the house. The best part was the vanity area which is very spacious and bright

Takeshi and Michiko are the best Airbnb hosts we have met. We had a great stay at their beautiful and warm home. She n her family were very hospitable, baked us bread n buns, even made us blueberries yoghurt. When I asked for the bread recipe, they shared with me and even gave me a pkt of the Japanese flour. Since we felt so overwhelmed by their hospitality, we bought a punnet of strawberries for the family. They even bought us a gift on our last day, so touched by their gesture. This place must be recommended to our friends and family. Must come back again when we visit Beppu the next time. Takeshi and Michiko, thanks once again for hosting us! You have set such a high standard that the other hosts will not be able to follow.

Great Airbnb! Very tidy, had all the amenities you need, beds were comfortable, lots of space and great location. Literally 2min walk to the train station which has a family mart located inside and super market within walking distance. The car park is easy to access also. Overall great stay!! Beppu is totally worth visiting and has so much to do in locations close by. Some things to note: Although the instructions were good, check in was a bit time consuming and difficult navigate at times felt like the amazing race or something similar, but the host response was quick. There is also a camera inside of the room, pointing at the front door. There is a picture of where the camera is facing, but something to be aware of depending on your comfort level. We weren’t sure if they can also hear audio through the camera but it’s seems very clear and transparent of why it’s placed there (security). However a camera outside would still do the job. We would stay here again :)

Our stay was wonderful. The property was clean, exactly as described, and the great location made exploring easy. We especially appreciated the convenient parking lot. Communication with Tony was excellent; they were incredibly helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

Large, sunny and airy apartment in a quiet and safe area, with enough comfort and facilities for a longer stay for two people. Quiet during our stay. Sea view from the living room, master bedroom and balcony, mountain view from the smaller bedroom. Bus around the corner, train within walking distance, a bit far from town center, but overall good location for traveling. Possibility of walks by the sea. Several restaurants and a large supermarket within reach. The apartment was very clean and tidy. We liked the large table, both for work and dining. Wi-Fi was without problems, possibility of Youtube and connection to Netflix or Prime Video. The entrance instructions seemed complicated, but in the end it was easy. Access to the apartment via code, we didn't need a key. No elevator - no noise; a few stairs even to the fourth floor was not a problem for us even several times a day. Communication with the landlord was fast and efficient. We will be happy to come back here!

Excellent self contained apartment. Clean. Well appointed. Strong professional host. Close to the station and all amenities. Very good value for money. Would happily stay again.

Fast reaction speed to questions and kind to answer everything you need. Hammock in the room is very cool.

Perfect location, and a large place that feels like home. The only downside for us was the bunk beds. We would have preferred a standard bed (bunk beds aren’t very romantic..). Other than this, everything was clean and comfortable, and we felt just like home. I really liked this place

This farmhouse is a very relaxing and beautiful place! We loved to just chill there in the evening and enjoy the tranquility of slow life.

I was worried when I first traveled to Bingbu, but I was able to travel very comfortably because it was close to the train station. I traveled during Christmas, and I was really grateful for the Christmas cake that the host prepared. There were a lot of restaurants around the accommodation, so I went out to eat, and it was a little down the street from Toki Department Store, so it was good for shopping. I think it would be a good choice if you are preparing for a trip to Bingbu.

Just a perfect flat, everything what you need wirh good Connections to the center! The onsen was very relaxing and Together with the sauna a perfect spa retreat for The night :) i can fully recommend it :)!

The room is spacious and very comfortable. It has everything you need. It should add a clothes hanger and a place to put your toiletries in the bathroom.

I had a wonderful time. Seigo is very friendly and helpful and even invited me to a small tour of the old town. A wonderful opportunity for me to learn more about the area and practice my Japanese. The place is very nicely renovated and feels right at home. As usual for Japan, all rooms are a little narrow and not highly insulated. I was in the place for a week and the only guest on several days, it felt like the whole house belonged to me.
