Geat place that we can recommend. It's located 40 minutes from the Kandy city centre. If you’re coming from Colombo Fort, get off at Peredeniya Station and not at Kandy. Host was kind enough to give me taxi driver's number as services like PickMe and Uber are not reliable in small towns. You'll need a dedicated driver. The views from the property are amazing, and the internet works well. Just a small note: you will be staying with the hosts, so it’s not an entire home as listed on Airbnb.

We had a great stay at Makahouse. The photos don’t do it justice- the place is huge with breathtaking views and lush greenery around. The caretaker looked after us very well and the food was superb! The pool was very refreshing after a day of exploration in Kandy. The communication with the host was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place and stay myself with pleasure!

His adorable dogs added so much joy to our stay, making us feel even more at home. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. The food was absolutely incredible – we’ve traveled all over Sri Lanka, but we have never had anything as delicious as what you prepared for us. Truly unforgettable! Your place is by far the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in, and we felt so at home.
