“This place will be one of our trip highlights. We experienced a true Sri Lankan hospitality, homemade meals and generosity. Lal is very knowledgeable and was free to take us on an amazing day tour teaching us some local history and botany. Romeni is caring and attended all our needs even arraigned a doctor for me when I was sick making sure I took my medicine :) The food is exceptional and the room is very cozy and comfortable. Situated away from the busy centre but only 10 minutes walk or short tuk tuk ride. We highly recommend a stay at Lal’s house and a visit to beautiful Nuwara Eliya.”
This is moderate size room with attached bathroom. you have a lobby in front the room with a washbasin. Can sit and read books and enjoy the garden. there is a small garden in front the house with lots of flowers .Hot water in the bathroom.
“We've had two absolutely amazing days in Nuwara Eliya, mostly due to Sharmini and Mahindral amazing hospitality. We learned so much about sri lanka culture and history with them. The food Sharmini and her help prepared for us was incredible and Mahindral took us to Hortons Plains and Tea factory with smile, tips and tricks and good discussions! The room is simple and clean, enough to keep you warm at night. Good water pressure :). The house is very nice with a cute garden with manyyyy plants and a bench to read a book and relax. Thanks again to you two, you make Sri Lanka a magical place!”
My place is close to Nuwara eliya town, Horton plains , Tea plantations , Tea factories, No of waterfalls , Seethahindu temple , Victoria park , Haggla Botanical gardens, Nanu-oya railway and many other tourist attractions . You’ll love my place because of 100 years old bungalow designed to British colonial architecture. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). (for your reference you can refer my other listing also)
“The host is a family with two children. The family atmosphere is strong and the landlord is gentleman. The bedrooms are very large, and they borrowed their kitchen at night to cook two packets of Sri Lankan noodles, which tasted good. The next day because I had to get up early to Horton Plains, the landlord packed breakfast very early and was very hearty. Recommended to live, the only thing is that the hot water is not hot enough.”
