Tiny house holiday rentals in Nova Scotia

I've stayed in two cottages on Lianes property. Both were absolutely gorgeous. Rustic but with very modern amenities! The comfiest beds and beat sleep you can get on the East Coast. Each cottage has a different aesthetic, my husband is a carpenter and could not stop raving about how cottage loon smelled like pine because it was made from logs. We saw an eagle flying overhead while having a fire on the lake shore! The hot tub is amazing and booking your time slot is incredibly easy. Liane is incredibly responsive, accommodating and friendly! If you want to book the sauna, make sure you let Liane know well in advance and book a time! It has to be heated up in advance and we were hoping to use it just prior to check out so it's the only thing we didn't get to try! It is an amazing, private, quiet little spot. A real score for the price! I've seen cottages in less desirable, more populated campgrounds in more touristy locations for 2-3x the price! We love staying at St. Esprit!

This place is amazing! The cabin was super clean, the self-check in went smoothly and there is even a sauna!

Best place to stay on the Cabot trail!

I really loved my stay at this cabin! My dog and I enjoyed the trails every day. The spot was private and peaceful. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Great location, very cozy and welcoming!

Martina's place was perfect for our honeymoon. We stayed there a week and it's just what you need for 2 people. The location was fantastic with being on the water, and not in the bustle of the real touristy areas. Nice and out of the way, but still only 1.5 hours from all the Anne of Green Gables stuff and 45 minutes to Charlottetown. Blossom was great fun. We didn't have time to do any biking of the confederation trail, but we made use of the kayaks one morning and had a bonfire one night. Martina was super helpful with providing wood for a bonfire and giving us suggestions on places to go/things to see in the area/on the island.

Idyllic location with a panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy. Christine and Andy are warm and welcoming hosts with lots of suggestions for activities. Extremely responsive. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Our second time at this great location. Close to Annapolis Royal that includes the terrific Farmer's Market on Saturdays and shopping in the quaint downtown area. Grandkids LOVE the hot tub. Amazing stay, even in January! I can’t even imagine how beautiful this place would be in the summer. So close to Summerville beach. The space was beautiful and clean, I will definitely stay again!

Tyler’s place was great! It looked exactly like the pictures. The hot tub was very refreshing after a few active days exploring the nearby trails. The wood stove made the cottage very cozy in the evenings. The dirt road leading in (come from either way) is rough, so I would recommend all wheel drive or a car with good suspension! Tyler was very proactive with communicating and responded quickly to my messages. Definitely would recommend for a remote getaway in rural NS!

Couldn’t say better things about our stay! It was clean, all set up with fire logs ready to go for a fire, wood fired hot tub was ready for us and heated up to hop in right away! Amazing views, woke up to the sun rise over the water that we watched in bed each morning! It was just a perfect gateway and way to recharge! Thank you so much Jenn!

This is an amazing Airbnb! It's in a beautiful area, very nice tiny home and the sauna was awesome. Even though you are somewhat close to the main house it feels very secluded. Will definitely bring staying again. 10/10

Bunkie on the Bay was the best birthday getaway experience. It was more spacious than expected, and they had everything you'd need to cook in the kitchenette and with the bbq. It tops all other Airbnb experiences for the attention to detail and the thoughtful decorations. We loved the fur carpets and bedding, and all of the candles and board games. As you walk in, you can smell essential oils and the radio is playing. It was a great place to watch the sunset with a glass of bubbles in the hot tub. We will definitely do this again!

Our family of 4 + a fur baby came here for a pre wedding familymoon and it was perfect. Had everything we needed and more. We felt right at home, the kids loved the Pac-Man game and their treehouse loft sleeping quarters. We loved the variety of spaces to relax in. The rainfall shower looking out into nature was my favourite and we really appreciated having so many things stocked including lots for the dog even! They really have thought of everything and would love to go back someday. Thanks for a great trip!!

Absolutely loved our second stay at this property. Hosts are great and very responsive with any questions or concerns. Cottage stocked with all the basic nessecities and everything you might need to make simple meals. My partner and I will certainly be back again in the future.

Excellent secluded getaway, my partner and I , along with our fur baby got to enjoy the peaceful retreat. Our host was very quick to respond to any questions, we enjoyed the use of the fat bikes to take in the local beach. The tiny home had everything you would need with above average quality of housewares and comfort ! The hot tub was an excellent addition as well . Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The area is beautiful and quiet. The kayaks are great to paddle around in the calm water, and the fire pit is perfect for cooler evenings. We had numerous cloudy days and no trouble with the solar power. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.

We had such a beautiful stay at Stephanie’s retreat! We loved the privacy the property offered us with the peaceful atmosphere right on the river. The place was exceptionally clean and even more beautiful than the photos can do justice!

The hot tub and sauna were perfect for warming up in and the whole space inside and out was build for relaxing. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing getaway, this spot is an absolute gem!

We loved our stay at "The Owen". The property is beautiful, peaceful and private. The linens are beautiful and cozy. Kitchen stocked perfectly. The hot tub was awesome and Joanne was very responsive when we had questions. The bathrobes and coffee station were great touches and we loved the island made soap that was left as s guest gift for us. It was a very relaxing getaway and we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Stayed at the Tinyhome with my girlfriend for a weekend. Had an extremely relaxing stay and enjoyed everything the home had to offer. Erica was very helpful and quick to respond. Exactly what we expected and more! 10/10

Cute tiny home located near the water (not for fishing or swimming) but had a nice view! Inside was clean and had all the linen and towels. Very comfy bed. Stairs are a bit steep to get to the bedroom and the ceiling is low. Overall we had a great stay!

My dog, girlfriend, and I stayed at The Petite Retreat for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The area was close to the ferry and there were plenty of things to do in the area. Alana gave great recommendations on places to visit (highly recommend Cape Forchu) and there were some great food spots within a close driving distance. Alana was very reliable when it came to communication and instructions. The only drawback was that there was no running water but there is water access in the tiny home so very small problem with a easy solution. I will definitely be recommending The Petite Retreat to any friends interested in visiting Nova Scotia!!

We were looking for a cozy getaway where we could unplug and immerse ourselves in nature. We found it at the Bear's Den! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a wave and a smile from Liana. She was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us the lay of the land and then left us to our peaceful stay. We enjoyed a walk through the trail to the LaHave River, which borders her property. It was beautiful and peaceful. That night we had a relaxing evening by the fire with some drinks and a few games of cards. Though it was very cold, we also could not resist getting bundled up to sit outside and star gaze. I don't think I have seen so many stars in my life. The space was very clean, easy to keep warm, the bed was comfy and the environment was serene. We loved our overnight experience. It was hard to pack up and leave the calm atmosphere the next day, but we look forward to returning when we can play in the river!
