Beachfront holiday rental in Northwest Indiana

The most adorable cottage and getaway for my husband and I! I am picky and this one checked all the boxes. We loved being right across the street from the private access beach, walkable to Whistle Stop, comfortable and super clean accommodations - everything feels well thought out from the sheets to the design choices and we appreciated all of the details. We will definitely be back!

Sherri’s home was very lovely and our stay was relaxing for the whole family. The house had lots of space and comfortable furniture (I had wonderful sleep which is a high compliment). Right on the lake, enjoyed the kayaking. 10/10.

Had a wonderful time staying at Dunetop Escape! The owners were very nice and responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area and made some awesome recommendations. The house was spotless and very accommodating. The house has a lot of usable space and even more sleeping areas! Loved that they made beach days so easy as they had everything you may ever need. Will absolutely be looking to book this location again and look forward to exploring more of Michigan City.

The return trip was even better than the first! We enjoyed the balcony, the woods across the street add to the relaxation. The uncrowded beach made the sunset even better

Simply beautiful! My daughter ( 7 year old) and my goddaughter ( 5 year old) enjoyed themselves! We loved the layout, beautiful scenery, spacious rooms, the updated amenities, the spa bathtub and the outdoor patio swing is amazing! This house is somewhere you can relax and rewind, enjoy yourself and feel safe at! Angie, is the best! I recommend you stay at Angie’s beach house! You will love this house!!!!!!

The lake house was perfect! A beautiful snowy winter weekend to relax and chill together and with our dog. The house had dog toys and space for pets that we appreciated. Loved being further away from the hustle and bustle of a city or town!

The location was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their directions/instructions were top notch. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature.

The host was very responsive and friendly. He gave recommendations on where to eat. The recommendation of a tiny restaurant named Cool Runnings ended up being a HIT SENSATION! I was HAPPY that he recommended the restaurant. The home is nestled in back at a dead end street. Nice neighborhood and quiet! Waking up to the view of the beach was great. Literally a 3 minute walk down a path will get you to the beach. That walk alone was definitely worth the money spent. I loved the arcade games. When visiting Michigan City again we will stay here. What a wonderful stay we had in Matthew's beautiful beach house! The house was perfectly clean with all the listed amenities and more. Thoughtful welcome gifts, very well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms, and great linens. The pool area was clean and beautiful, and there were ample pool toys, lawnchairs, seating, etc. The layout of the home is perfect -- there are many seating areas for different groups to have their own conversations and a very large kitchen/dining table for all to be together. The beach is steps away, and there is almost no one there so it is private and expansive. Matthew provided so much information about the local things to do and see --- I was born and raised in the area and did not know about some of them! I really cannot say enough about the place or Matthew's generous and communicative hosting style. We came here on the recommendation of a prior guest and we are so glad we did!

Nada was great to work with. Anytime we had a question, she had the answer and responded professionally and promptly. The unit had a great view of the lake and easy access being on the first floor. Will look forward to booking this unit at the Culver Cove in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in this A-Frame style home. The house is split down the middle and two full homes are inside! There was a large family that stayed in the other part of the home and we barely heard them. The home itself was very fun to stay in, the AC worked very well and it is incredibly close to two! beaches. We will definitely be going back and Natalie was very responsive!

We loved how close the beach of Lake Michigan was. The pools were heated and great. The boys loved the fishing and hunting for unique rocks. And, they brought all their stuff to play video games on the TV. We use the griddle to make breakfast and my daughter door dashed Starbucks every day. Just keeping it real. We had some great local meals as well. If you are looking for a special occasion meal that is close by and you can spend more for the great seafood, steaks and ribs then make Reservations at Grande Mere Inn. We noticed a favorite from the guest book was SilverBeach Pizza in St Joe and it was good. We ordered traditional and a bit of the unique topping flavors. We also ate in St. Joseph at Bucks Bugers and Brew. Great burgers and onion rings. Just a heads up, all theses chalets are built as duplex so, you may have neighbors you can hear talking out on the enclosed patio. Our shower was a small one and you want to lay down a towel to catch leaks. Wel oved our last minute vaca.

When we returned home on Sunday, and checked our email, we found instructions on what to do when we left the condo. That notification was too late since we were traveling and not checking email. We didn't strip the bed, put the garbage out, or run the dishwasher which surprised us since there probably was a cleaning fee in the price of the reservation. The reservation fee was too high $800+ for 2 nights. We did like the fact that there were minimal stairs as we are an elderly couple. Instead of sending the condo access instructions the morning of the reservation date, Jennifer did send us our instructions earlier since we were traveling prior to that date. We were able to print off the access instructions. The condo was perfect for our needs as we just slept there and attended activities away from the property. It would have been nice to have k-cup decaf coffee.

We absolutely loved this place and our stay. The lake views were more beautiful than the photos could show, the chalet is comfortable and well-stocked, and there was so much to do in the community that we didn't even scratch the surface. We loved the beach area which wasn't crowded at all, even on Labor Day weekend. We drove in to St. Joseph for dinner and to go to ur favorite shops - super easy drive. The walk to the beach was so short we didn't even take a lunch out there, just popped up to the house whenever we needed a restroom break or a snack. We never needed to contact Ben but got plenty of communication beforehand and the manual in the house provided info of how to text him if we needed to. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!

The "tiny home" fit our needs just fine. The screened porch, campfire and gas grill added a nice evening activities. The shared pool is lovely and we were always in it alone!

Gracious and responsive host! Nice lake house. I rented to have a place to stay before and after a Notre Dame game. Easy access to and from. My grandsons loved the boat dock

This property is literally right on the beach. Almost every window in the house looks out onto the lake with beautiful views. We loved our stay here.

Can’t say enough good things about our entire experience at this Airbnb. We booked it however long ago (almost a year probably at this point) and from then on Jennifer was awesome about getting back to me on any questions or anything at all we needed. The Airbnb was fabulous, we received lots of compliments from the guests who stayed with us—clean, beautiful, and relaxing. Just what we needed ahead of our in town wedding

Shomari was a great host, very friendly and gave great recommendations. We had all the towels and he had toiletry items in the bathroom and cooking items (spices, extra drinks) in the kitchen. My girls and I didn’t feel unsafe in the area, although finding street parking on the block can be tough, depending on the time of day. His place is a 25-30 min drive to downtown, soldier field and McCormick place, it can be less or more depending on the traffic. It was a great stay and I would recommend.

I loved this stay. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The beach being nearby was so nice. We took nightly walks to the beach and it was very peaceful and beautiful. The apartment is spacious, cozy, has bright natural lighting during the day, and has all the amenities you’ll need. It felt luxurious and very homey. The bed was very comfortable and had a goose down blanket. It felt like I was sleeping on a marshmallow or a cloud! Only thing is parking can get a little complicated if you’re leaving and coming back often, but for the most part it was okay. Overall, I would stay here again and recommend this to anyone wanting to book!

This is a great place to stay! Everything is just as it is described! We had the best time relaxing. We took a day trip to St. Joseph. We mostly enjoyed how cozy everything inside is. The bed, furniture, and layout were outstanding! This is one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed via AirBnB.

Spacious views of Lake Michigan, beautiful appointments throughout the house, uncluttered living areas, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, all within a short driving distance to restaurants/shopping. We've always wanted to stay right on the beach during winter -- Lake Michigan and this BnB did not disappoint! Our stay was a peaceful retreat all thanks to a gracious & accommodating host and owner.
