Farmstay holiday rentals in Northland

We thoroughly loved our stay at this luxurious villa. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for that something special! Joe and Robert were very welcoming and gave us some good local tips for the area.

We are on a roadtrip around North Island. We started 2 weeks ago. And our 2 night stay at the cabin was just what we needed: a relax-day. The weather was great, the view over the sea phantastic, the family wild turkeijs walking around our cabin so nice. We did a small beach walk and most of our time we sat on the veranda. Sometimes looking through the binoculars. We did nothing. We felt at home. Andrew gave good and complete instructions before we came in. We felt it nice that we have met Christine. She informed us friendly about her farming and about the environment. Thank you Andrew and Christine for your hospitality 😊

Beautiful spot, hard to explain in words how incredibly peaceful and special this spot is. We booked last minute to get away from the city and Linda was so helpful, highly communicative and it was better than we were expecting. We are also very grateful that we could take our dog, I’m pretty sure it was her idea of heaven!

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay here. We chose the location because we wanted to visit Cape Reinga. Jennifer was kind, welcoming and pro-active. The house was clean and spacious and set up with everything we needed. Definitely recommended.

The Mataia Homestead was a perfect country stay for our large family group. The Homestead was really comfortable and the gardens and hills beyond were picturesque. We did the 12km circular coastal walk and enjoyed the elevated views of the harbour. A highly recommended location and accommodation!

One of our last places to stay during our trip in NZ and again we are lucky! The beautiful view, the hot tub, the tranquility, stargazing at the deck in stargazing-rocking chaires, the enormous pampering with fish by hosts Vanessa and Steve and their lovely assistant Sandi who was always up for a pet. A lovely house on a beautiful location with beautiful bays and beaches for swimming and snorkeling, where Steve and Vanessa even had snorkels and diving goggles to borrow. We enjoyed it here!

Alysn was great very helpful instructions for getting to the house. Such a beautiful house and location, wish we could have stayed longer.

A charming beachfront property with an old homestead along with a modern studio/cottage. We stayed in the cottage. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Sue and James were excellent hosts with plenty of local knowledge and great suggestions for activities with our children. The kids fished in the stream and played on the swings. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, kiwi holiday experience!

We only stayed for one night (sadly!) but it was the perfect place for a mini getaway. The location was just beautiful and felt really peaceful. Maryanne had thought of everything we might need and had added lots of really thoughtful touches to make it a super comfortable stay. We also loved meeting the friendly cows on the farm! Our second stay, just as good as the first!. Quiet, clean, has everything we needed. Lovely views. Friendly host. Would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful, beautiful location, and a clean and relaxing cottage/studio. This booking did not disappoint! It was a lovely stay in every way! We had a really great time staying here at Shane’s place … we based ourselves here for a few nights while we explored Cape Reinga and the north, and we really enjoyed our experience. The cabin and toilets are clean, neat and tidy and we immediately felt comfortable and welcome. Shane is super friendly and we had a peaceful and relaxing evening sitting in the bar area chatting with him and enjoying the outdoor areas and night sky. My husband and I came out here for a peaceful first anniversary, and we got exactly that! A nice getaway close to home for us… beautiful land, and lovely cattle. Got to walk around the farm and meet their little calf ‘Jelly Bean’. Andrew and Leslie really care for their guests and it shows ✨ definitely will be coming back in the future!

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nirvana and can't wait to get back for a weekend sometime in the near future. Everything is as described - great bed, aircon, great wifi, privacy, quiet. If you're looking to get out of city and into the country for a bit of RnR, this is the spot! Big bonus is that Vinkal's place is well located for days trips, hikes, beaches, and Whangārei isn't too far either! Brilliant!

Great location close to the beach. But also a great place to hang around and relax with family and friends. The backyard has a lovely garden and plenty of room for the kids to run around, and the house is well equipped with just about everything you need. Would love to come back and stay again sometime. thanks!

It was awesome place to stay. Host also very friendly . Must try hot tub it was great experience also location of hot tub I really like it. We can access to every fresh fruit plant and eat direct from it. Thanks elaine When i came there definitely i stay there.

Hattie was great to work with and very kind. The house pets were also very cute and sweet. The view from the property is amazing as well! Great little place for a weekend getaway and the nearby towns were great for exploring. Hattie kept us informed of everything was available for anything we needed.
