Farmstay holiday rentals in Northern Thailand

This was by far one of the best — if not best — AirBnB experiences I’ve ever had. The place, the neighborhood, the hosts all make for an incredible, magical Thai/Pai experience. Make sure to have tea with Nong, the local artist across the street and maybe invest in one of his beautiful pieces of art!

We had a brilliant stay at Orawans and Bruno's place. It is a great place, nice and quiet. The meals were amazing. They gave us some fantastic suggestions on what to do in the area and where we could eat. The pool was a win. Beautiful and clean. Would definately recommend to other guests.

What an amazing place! We were lucky to be one of the first Airbnb guests to stay in this private one-bedroom unit that Aum and his family recently built. It is perfection! The room has a modern-rustic feel with some lovely design and personal touches. You still feel like you're staying on a farm, but in real comfort. The room has a large bed (firm, but this is typical for Thailand) with a very spacious bathroom. There is filtered water, tea, and coffee station set up in the room so you can brew a cup and sit on the outdoor patio. We woke up very early to explore the National Park and Aum's wife was very accommodating and made us a "to go" breakfast sandwich. It was deliiiicious, so I can only imagine how wonderful the full breakfast experience would be when you stay! The farm grounds are impressive. We spent some time walking around and I was so amazed by everything they are growing. We had a car so we had no issues going out into Fang for dinner, which was really fun and I highly recommend doing. In general, renting a car would be recommended if visiting this part of Thailand. It will give you freedom to explore the National Park, go into Fang for food, and see other parts that you won't see if you are without a vehicle. Many thanks to Aum and his family for opening their home to travelers so we get to experience their beautiful home and beautiful area of Thailand. Highly recommend this home!

I like the serenity, the decor, the hospitality, clean, spacious. Most importantly, friendly to dogs and cats. Khun Bee and his family were very welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. The cat stopped slipping out of the room. Everyone was very nice. They were able to find it in a very early time. If you have to go back to Phayao again, you will want to go back and stay in the same place. I would recommend it for a group of friends or family with family as our favorite. Good for your heart. 💚💚💚

Great place to explore especially if you are a nature lover! Don’t expect anything else. It’s just greenery around you and rarely You see a person. My kind of a place I would say. Very responsive host, I had to go back before the night because of some personal reasons. But will come back again for sure.

The house where we stayed was a unique place to stay. Ideal for a family. It is very tasty designed with a lot of local (wooden) materials. The environment is quite natural and very quite. Communication with Bat was minimal and we did not meet him, but we received the information we needed.

Wonderful stay in Ake’s place! The surrounding is beautiful, with a night safari right next to the place and greenery all around. The host owns a lovely dog called Boon, super adorable and friendly. The host is welcoming as well as the neighbors! So many nice places were introduced, while the cafe and bbq around is also amazing. Definitely should stay if you love nature, animal and lovely people :)

A lovely, quiet place with a view of the mountains. It felt like visiting relatives in the countryside for the weekend - everything was so cozy and nice. The place is dog-friendly, and there is a huge area next to the farm for walking or riding bikes. My husband and I stayed here for only one night, but we think it’s worth staying at least three days. Thank you very much for the hospitality🙏🏻

Our best stay in Thailand! The villa is perfect, very clean, very cozy and stylish. We slept well and enjoyed the sunrise in the morning. Special thanks go to hot shower, comfortable bed and delicious food! Also, Busara's family is very pleasant and hospitable. Highly recommend!

What a gorgeous place! We spent two weeks here at the beginning of a 3 month stay in Thailand and it was perfect. Rural location away from tourists but with coffee shops, restaurants and an excellent Sunday flea market all in walking distance (bikes also provided). The staff were so lovely and kept us topped up with eggs, lemons and fresh greens from the gardens. We didn’t get to meet Chu however he went above and beyond to help us - ordering items for our baby and also helping us to extend our visa. Would 100% recommend for a gorgeous, relaxing stay away from the crowds x

Very unique experience on a farm within the town (lots of vegetables and animals). In our kitchen only fresh products from the farm. The owner just radiates with joy - you can really tell everything is built with passion. Big instrument lover too- even built a small music studio for his grand son.

A beautiful place not too far from the city, lovely people and also lovely animals :) I just stayed two days but it was amazing! It's possible to order food and drinks with the app. if don't feel to walk or drive away.

Amazing stay with one of the best views from some spots. I had the entire place to myself, I would say it would be perfect for groups ranging from 4-14 people including kids. It’s like your own big playground on top of the hill The helper assigned was amazing, he brought me food, beers, snacks from the village, setup a bonfire at night and brought sweet potato for the fire, took me on a tour to his tribal village in the morning and so much more. Highly recommend this place for groups !

Very warm-hearted! Chinese speaking, easy going. Super calming rice fields right in front of balcony. Breakfast was our real surprise. Highly recommended for those who wish to stay for a real retreat.

We had an amazing time at Spicy Villa. The area is stunningly beautiful. The people are very kind, helpful and hospitable. Hoh especially was an amazing host and guide, very friendly and relaxed. He took us on the most beautiful walk and made us delicious food. Bunditto made sure we had what we needed. We slept very well, despite it getting chilly at night (make sure to pack some warm clothes). Thank you everyone!

To celebrate the New Year, my family gathered in Chiang Mai and stayed at Joy and Joerg’s Airbnb, which was the perfect spot for our reunion. In August, I visited their place in advance, and they kindly showed me around, sharing tips on relaxation, cooking, and massages. In December, the house comfortably accommodated everyone in separate bedrooms. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, relaxing in hammocks, and having a barbecue with fresh meat and vegetables. Their delicious Thai dishes, with separate chili and non-chili plates, were perfect for our family’s preferences. Despite minor issues like rental car trouble and a family member falling ill, Joy and Joerg provided excellent support and advice. Their hospitality made our stay unforgettable, and we left with cherished memories.

We had an amazing week at this beautiful home! The location was perfect—nestled in a peaceful village, yet still close to so many great activities and delicious cafes. The house was exactly as described in the listing: clean and comfortable. It truly felt like home from the moment we arrived. We especially loved the pool and it was a highlight for our whole group! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the cleaners who cared for the property during our stay were so kind and thoughtful. We’d love to come back again someday!

Great place, really cool spot right on the edge of a creek. Very unique little house, feels like you're tucked away in your own little paradise. Very easy to get to central Chiang Mai. Bob has built something really special here. Super helpful guy and really friendly, I will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic area with very nice plants and garden, blessed with all kinds of fruits that you can get for breakfast! The owners Khun Nong & Khun Khit are always present and know all the questions answers! Extremely friendly and also interested in yours! Family and any staff, should not go unmentioned, especially the hearty housekeeper! At the beginning, they helped us find a "decent, strong" motorcycle, - Doi Inthanon - just to name a place where you need one;) It is also just outside what we wanted and were looking for!... And found 😎 The fruit piece is incredibly good, - definitely take the Thai-Breakfast!! 😍 Ideal for spending the whole day, enjoying and/or also looking at the area around!! Authentic cooking kitchens, cultivation fields including water buffalo, as well as a market(dalaat) and a temple( Wat), can be explored and marveled there! If you appreciate it, book immediately ;)

Absolutely fantastic! My stay was remarkable. Everyone was very accommodating and tolerant of my quirks and it was a serene atmosphere to recover from my illness and realign myself with the important things in life.

Exceptional host. The place itself was obviously great. The pool was even better in person than in the pictures. Great place to be in the heat and perfect for pictures. It fit all 14 of us with plenty of space. I would recommend 10/10 but what really made this place amazing was our host. Hands down best host I’ve ever had. She went above and beyond and made our whole trip smooth and enjoyable. I would stay at any of her properties!
