Øya er kjent for gode jaktmuligheter på småviltjakt og fiske i sjø. Stor bestand av ørn. 3 km til matbutikk og hurtigbåtkai. Båt fra Tromsø anløper daglig.

The unique cottage is located 5 km from the center of Äkäslompolo in the beautiful Lapland countryside and belongs to the Kuoppa farm. Here you can experience the authentic Lappi atmosphere in a stylish environment. The yard is surrounded by rugged landscapes and fells. There is a clear water natural spring in the yard, where you can take a dip throughout the year. The wooden sauna offers gentle steam. The house and yard are a wonderful, personal entity. Few places are the landscape more conspicious than at Laupstad, where our farmhouse lies just between the sandy beach and mountains. We welcome singles, couples and families of every nationality! Fishing trips is possible. The midnight sun is best experienced by boat after all.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Originally, this was the old barn on the farm. The top floor was completely renovated and converted into a larger apartment in 2022. The ultimate starting point for trips along the beach on Stave, trip to Måtind, Høyvika or Skogvoll nature reserve. The apartment has skylights that make it perfect for watching the northern lights.
