Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Eurovision movie apartment located in the heart of Húsavík, the whale watching capital, is the best place to stay to experience local Icelandic vibes. This house was built in 1904 which makes it one of the oldest (and coolest :) houses in Húsavík. What is more, the Eurovision movie was shot there. 2 floors apartment with 3 bedrooms and huge spacious living room gonna make your stay unforgettable. Láfsgerði is by the ring road, highway no. 1 and easy to find. The easiest way is to type the name into MAPS and it will take you to the location. Láfsgerði is exceptionally well located in terms of day trips to all the most interesting places in the northeast of Iceland; Goðafoss waterfall is a 5-minute drive away Lake Mývatnssveit 20 minutes' drive Húsavík 30 min. The house has 6 bedrooms with two 160 cm beds, three 140 cm beds and one 130 cm bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two washing machines in the house and two dryers. There is a small stream in front of the house, and the house is located in a beautiful valley with a river. It takes 30 minutes to go to Húsavík, Myvatn, Dimmuborgir and it is 40 minutes drive to Akureyri. 10 people can stay in the house.

Hidden Gem with Excellent Breakfast: The rooms were modern, clean, and nicely decorated. We shared a bathroom and two toilets with about 8 people, which worked fine. The shared kitchen was great, offering free coffee, tea, and cocoa all day. Breakfast was fantastic — a real treat in Iceland, where it’s often not included. Check-in was relaxed and welcoming — we were greeted the moment we stepped out of the car. There’s plenty of parking, and the area is quiet and scenic. Though Myvatn is about 40 minutes away, we didn’t mind at all. You do need to drive 2 km on a gravel road to get there, but it’s easy if you go slow. Highly recommended!

Loving stay. Agnieszka and her husband welcomed us very warmly and we had great conversations. We received many tips for our visit to Iceland. The room is comparatively small, but the rest of the apartment is very large. Very nice bathroom and kitchen. Very clean and well equipped. We would come back immediately, we felt right at home.

What a view from the balcony!! :-) It was very nice to wake up and see the snowy mountains. The accomodation is nice and clean, the host was very responsive and helpful too. We enjoyed our stay here, there are also lots of activities, sightseeing in the area to explore.
