The Varingskollen alpine resort is a 5-minute drive (or one train stop) away, where there is also a floodlit ski run. There are also several other cross-country skiing trails a 5–10-minute drive from the cabin. Unwind among the pine trees with a sauna and cook a meal in the wood-fired pizza oven in the garden. Here’s everything you and your travelling companions need for a relaxing stay in the forest.

Welcome to the cabin in our garden in Nordmarka 🌲 Perfect for relaxing close to nature and combining forest and city: Snippen train station is 5 minutes away – 20 minutes by train to Oslo S. The cabin is simple but cosy: - 120x185 cm bed - Daybed - Duvets are included; bring bed linen and towels - Hotplate - Sink - Water dispenser Bathroom in the basement with shower, toilet, sink, and washing machine. In the garden, there is a dining table, a fire pit and a small stream for swimming. We can provide facilities for a workation with a screen and an office chair.

Perfect for city and countryside holidays. 15 minutes by car to civilization or 20 minutes by train to Oslo S from Snippen station 200 meters away. To Varingskollen Alpine Center it is 20 minutes by train the other way. Nordmarka's hiking trails and cycling routes start at the doorstep. The host lives nearby and is available. The house has 20 sqm floor area, but is effectively utilized with loft, large ceiling height and good window surfaces. The terrace is south facing and sunny.

Varingskollen alpine centre is a 10 min. drive, Oslo city centre a 25 min. drive or 25/45 min. by train/bus.

The location of this welcoming hut is stunning and well suited for the outdoor lover who wants to relax and enjoy nature. The camp fire setup and direct access to the lake front are just perfect for peacful days. With the canoe you can go fishing or just expore the nearby waters. And in the cabin you have everything you need for a nice weekend: a well equipped kitchen, games, books, a radio (DAB+), woodstove and a guitar. Unfortunally the cabin is not easy accessable by public transport.
