Wileys Retreat

AaronRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wiley's retreat was excellent, we had an easy check in, good communication, it came as advertised and my wife really loved how clean and pleasant the house was. We were able to overnight on our road trip, rest up, and roll out the next morning. The ease of check-in and check-out was terrific, especially with our children. Charlton Heights is what it is, a quiet little riverside town, and some of the town could use some attention, but Wiley's was great and fit what we needed.

Thank you so much, Autumn! We had the best time in your cute cabin for our family Christmas vacation. You were so helpful and kind. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a home away from home feel with excellent hosts. If we’re ever back in WV we would definitely stay again.

Private Home - Close to Lake/ WV Park - Sleeps 8+

BrianRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Thanks for the stay! This house was perfect for our group, very spaceous with a large kitchen and family room and the location could not have been any better. Less than a 5 minute drive to the Summersville parking lot, so if you are planning on going to the lake then look no further. Would love to stay here again sometime!

Cozy 3-bedroom by The Gorge and Summersville Lake

SvetlanaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We rented Caleb’s place for six adults. As we hiked every day: we went to the New River Gorge Bridge walk - which we highly recommend, to Summersville Dam and Lake, so we didn't spend too much time at the cabin. The house has everything you need, including welcome gifts from the owners.

Elk River Escape

ClarkRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our little vacation here was wonderful…very peaceful by the river. Everything in the house was ready for a lovely stay…very clean and well equipped (though I could have used one larger fry pan,,,or I couldn’t find it.). otherwise, everything was here. The back porch is delightful, and was perfect for my 94 year old father and I to sit and talk and watch the river go by. The view is gorgeous. The only surprise was that the house was on the road. However, all the homes on the Elk River are between the road and the river because of the steep, wooded mountains. The road was, however, quiet, and never interrupted our joyful stay. This is a very historical area… rough looking old coal towns, but even these are fascinating. We loved it.

New&Gauley Cabin 10 min to state & national parks

NatalieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This “Cozy Cabin” was secluded and private in the hills of West Virginia! This quaint cabin is located down a private lane surrounded by beautiful scenery, tall trees, a welcoming front porch! We enjoyed the numerous amenities like the grill, sauna, outdoor tub, and great s’mores on the fire-pit. This cabin has everything you need for cooking and plenty of blankets and towels! So impressed with this cabin and the games provided for a rainy day or late night. This cabin is so close to restaurants and hiking trails. The cabin exceeded or expectations and would stay again!!!

NRG, Peaceful cabin on 4 acres!

LoriRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The host was very responsive and accommodating with our request for an earlier arrival time. The house is quaint. It’s an old home, which comes with its own pros and cons, but it was very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The bed was really comfy. The house is private, though neighbors are still fairly close. There’s a great yard to walk the dogs. But the thing we loved the very best was the location. It’s SO close to the New River Gorge National Park. You can’t ask for a better location to enjoy the park. We would definitely return to this house, should we ever be back in the area.

Cozy Cottage On Quiet Country Lane

AndreaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jason’s place was a wonderfully comfortable stop on our road trip. We were pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was and the deck and yard area were very relaxing. Only 20 min from the new river gorge national park, we were happy to check that out as well. Would certainly stay here again if we were passing through.

Ascension Cabin: hot tub, fire pit, babbling brook

KristEnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our family had a great time at Darien’s cabin. We were about 10-15 minutes from some great hiking, the gorge bridge, and great restaurants in the cute town of Fayetteville. My kids got to watch snow falling one morning on the front porch and we listened to the frogs every time it rained. The hot tub was heavenly! Thank you so much for having us and for all of the effort that you put into making our stay comfy, peaceful, and special.

13min Summersville Lake | HotTub | FirePit | Quiet

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house was nice and looked like the pictures. I think it had not been stayed in for a little bit before our check in as it had a little musty smell , but we opened the windows and it cleared out quickly. Myla was very responsive with the couple of requests we had during our stay The property is nice, but small backyard as most of the space is in the front. The driveway was as described - definitely a hill :) The closest town is Summersville which has everything you need for a week away. Nothing that Myla could prevent but there are dogs at the corner who bark ALOT! Just a heads up in case you bring a dog who barks when they hear other dogs barking.

Secluded cabin Near National park with hot tub

BrittanyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

Teena's Cozy Hideaway

JanelleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Tina’s cabin! It was perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The cabin is secluded and in a private wooded setting, it’s very rustic on the outside but updated on the inside without losing the rustic charm. We really enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub and listening to the birds and cows while having our morning coffee on the porch. The cabin is stocked with dishes and cookware, spices, a microwave, toaster, oven and a grill. We only had to buy coffee! We didn’t do any cooking, but used the coffee pot and microwave. I couldn’t get the toaster to work, but it could’ve been user error. We also couldn’t get the bedroom tv to work, but no big deal! The cabin and hot tub were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was the perfect getaway with our 2 furbabies. The most important thing to note is the door will automatically lock when you shut it, make sure you have the code so you don’t get locked out! We would definitely stay here again!!
