Cara Cottage, Mourne Mountains

DavidRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Absolutely beautiful location, great location for the Mournes, short drive to Castlewellan & Rathfrialand and a bar within a 15 minute walk. What more could you ask for! The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and there was everything you need for your stay. Mary left a welcome pack with crisps, bagels, and sweets etc. there was fresh milk in the fridge. She gave me good advice for places to visit & where to get a good Chinese takeaway. After a stressful week I’ve had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay & I’d be very happy to return. Thanks for everything!

The Swans Nest

Judie FayeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is an absolute gem! Literally couldn’t any closer to the lake front, such stunning view. Swans come right up to you to its breath taking. Hot tub was spotless and was just a great touch of luxury. Was so happy that there was an air fryer, as I do love some air fried treats! Not to mention there’s a mini fridge with plenty of room and a microwave. Plenty of kitchen utensils, cutlery and hot water. Place itself is very spacious and includes an outside seating eating which was fab for our breakfasts. Thanks so much to our host, amazing time away!

The Horsebox, unexpected luxury

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What can we say? We have done plenty of glamping and this is by far one of the best. The location is great close to many places to venture while also being private and peaceful. The host was fabulous and very attentive. Inside the horsebox was everything you could think of with it's very own quirky touches. The toilet and shower were great and well maintained. Anne had left pancakes eggs butter and milk for ourselves and it was just a lovely little touch. The black folder gave all information needed and was easy to understand. The horsebox was cosy and warm on arrival. The dressing gowns are a beautiful touch. Bed is super comfy and we both had a great nights sleep. There was logs and fire lighters left for a campfire which we also made smores. Overall just a 5 star stay and we will most definitely be back!! Very much recommend this place to anybody and everybody!!!

Fiona was a fantastic host. The glamping pod was excellent, and the hot tub was brilliant. The kids loved it. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning. I will definitely be staying again, but in the upgraded Boathouse or the Swan.

Mountain View - Idyllic, breathtaking setting

KayeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
What a gorgeous little shepherd’s hut - thoughtfully decorated with everything we required. The loaf of bread provided was particularly delicious. There was a lot to explore in the area from the Mourne Mountains to seaside location at the bottom of the road. Linda had left useful information on a variety of Mourne walks and was friendly and pro-active with her communication. A lovely stay.

Stylish Retreat for 2, Hot Tub, Exceptional Views!

DominickRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What an amazing tiny home. Easy accessibility from the road but once you are in there it is so private. Overlooking farm and fields and flat land as far as the eye can see. We got such nice weather. So relaxing in the hot tub or on the deck with a beer was an amazing experience. Cannot wait to go back

LanaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Myself, partner and 4 year old son stayed in the bee hut on New Year’s Eve. It was the break we all needed. I felt completely relaxed and we enjoyed playing the games that were in the hut. The bed was comfy, my 4 year old slept all night. Thank you and hopefully we will back again 😊
