Gorgeous home, private parking and stunning views

Bay View Cottage is a fabulous ENTIRE Ulverston home extremely well suited for a romantic escape for two people or for working in the area, or working at home, great WiFi. Very peaceful here no road noise lots of bird song, cosy up and enjoy the panoramic view. Very close to town centre it has own entrance with a key safe, so arrival time can be totally flexible, and there is private parking. We use a Professional cleaning service to ensure the place sparkles. Much better than a hotel room!

The Black Dog cottage is a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property located in a quiet rural setting two doors down from the Black Dog Inn, outside the town of Dalton in Furness in the Cumbrian countryside. In 2021 the cottage was renovated creating open plan living on the ground floor, a double and single bedroom on the first with family bathroom and a master suite on the second, complete with ensuite. Off road parking is available at the front of the cottage and wifi available throughout.

Really nice stay. An hour away from Windermere. Most of day spent at Windermere and then over to this beautiful location where there was plenty of pubs and close to locals shops, easy access to the room, just eat options available for delivery but plenty of take out spots. The room was spacious, comfy.

Tim supplied clear instructions. Car parking is easy. I received a very warm welcome from him, his wife and their friendly, well behaved dog. The studio, which was clean and true to the description and photos, is situated in a very quiet area. The views across the garden to the bay and the distant hills added to the tranquil atmosphere. The generous selection of tea, coffee and infusions complemented the treats in the fridge, the washing up supplies and the toiletries. The studio was perfect for my short stay in the area. Thank you.

Another relaxing stay with Abbie and her mum Maxine. They were super helpful, and even rescued me when my bicycle broke a few miles away. They were like my own personal AA service in their matching tabards. they even drove me to Halfords to buy spares. Then they took me back to the cottage, only to find an abundance of Biscoff in most rooms.

What a memorable stay in the Lake District, in an absolute beautiful and remote place that has so much history! Kate was a fantastic host, we loved our conversations together and hanging out by the fire in the evening. The cats and the hens brought us so much joy! Kate went above and beyond to set up breakfast with many choices - even accommodating for gluten and dairy free. The road to get there is an adventure in itself, luckily there's not much traffic and it went really well for us. We would highly recommend staying there! Note that the ground in front of the house is uneven and there are a few steps to get into the house, which can be challenging for people who have difficulties going up stairs. You might be as lucky as us and have a cat waiting for you at the top though!
