Being pet friendly and having a large fenced in area for them to run around in was very nice.

What a wonderful place to relax! Everything was perfect, from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfy patio lounge chairs & bed, the fire pit with lots of wood all chopped & ready to go and best of all the hot tub! Bonus was the visiting deer which were fun to feed using the supplied apples! Highly recommend this secluded cottage on the river if you’re looking for a quiet getaway! The cottage was exactly as described in the listing! We booked this cottage because it was so close to our daughter’s wedding but it ended up being a mini vacation as well! Thank you!

After a bad experience at a different rental Friday night, we were left scrambling Saturday to find somewhere else — this cabin completely saved our weekend! Last-minute booking was smooth, check-in was easy, the place was spotless, fully stocked, with firewood ready. The view is spectacular, the privacy is unmatched, and the hot tub was such an enjoyable feature. The hosts were wonderful with fast, helpful communication. And it’s only about 15 minutes from downtown Truro! Exceeded all expectations — we’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Patrick and Sarah provided clear and detailed instructions for our arrival. The cottage exceeded our expectations and was even bigger and brighter than pictured. We were a large group of two families (all adults) and everyone had plenty of room for sleeping and belongings. We followed the provided directions and walked to some lovely hiking trails close by. The cottage has modern amenities and was well stocked with almost anything you’d need to enjoy your stay.

The Islander Lodge was everything we could have wanted for our stay. The location is very rural (42 kms outside Antigonish in mostly cottage country), the "cottage" is really a log house ( a beauty), modern, immaculate and pristine. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck under the stars and listening to the hoots of owls nearby. We didn't use the kayaks but they are provided along with life jackets. The beautiful lodge is exactly as described,inside and out. It's magazine gorgeous and had everything we needed. We had loads of privacy and were reassured the host would be around if needed. My only two suggestions would be to bring your own drinking water as this area has very hard water. And don't forget your security code instructions (ha) so you dont inadvertently get locked out. ( my wife has a good memory thankfully ha). We HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend these exceptional accommodations in West Lochaber.

A Perfect Riverside Escape The cottage is a truly wonderful retreat for anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The sheltered hot tub is the perfect spot to unwind and recharge, and the serene riverside setting adds to the overall sense of calm. The cottage itself is charming and beautifully maintained, with a quaint character that instantly makes you feel at home. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet it's only a short drive to Pictou, making it the best of both worlds. We’ve already rebooked—we absolutely love this place! Josh and Nicole are incredible hosts, and they’ve created a little slice of heaven here.

Beautiful cabin, very clean, everything we wanted and as advertised. Relaxing in the hot tub on the deck was so amazing and we would easily book again! Lots of nearby trails to explore, very scenic area and absolutely loved it!

The cabin is one of four cabins - probably very convenient if traveling with a group. It overlooks a water inlet. The cabin is well kept up but fairly basic in terms of dishes, etc. There is a beach nearby but we didn't visit it due to the mosquitos.

We had a fabulous stay at Carrie’s Cozy Cabin. Loved the location and it was extremely private and quiet, close to Montague and with a short drive to all major attractions and beaches. The deck was spectacular especially in the morning drinking my coffee listening to the waves. We will definitely be back without a doubt.

Absolutely stunning views from the cabin, the cabin is very clean and has everything you will need and has alot of personal charm :) I am definitely going to come back frequently!

I just wanted to say that this place is exactly as described, very private, and would absolutely stay here again and would recommend anyone wanting a place in this area to take advantage of this very unique place!

We loved our stay. Beautiful ocean right there. Lots of pebbled beach to walk with beautiful sunsets. Plenty of hot water, very comfy beds, and great little area to side of house for sea breeze with no bugs. Lois is so friendly and helpful. Cozy place to spend some quiet time. Or you can visit in an outdoor common area complete with barbecue & fire pit. It gets cool this time of year in the evenings but the heaters worked great and flannel sheets were so cozy! It is a bit remote so buy your food before you come.

Loved it so much, we booked another visit before the first was over!!!!! A wonderful experience at Stella Luna! The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly as described. Spent hours on the beach and enjoyed the sunrise each morning from the second storey balcony off the main bedroom. AMAZING! Very touched by the thoughtful guest package when we arrived and the helpful info on area amenities. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This cozy cottage on the water was everything my family and I could have asked for! Tracey and Randall made vacationing EASY with having everything we could need right there. We had great communication from the start making checkin quick! This vacation rental really felt like home! Great kitchen with everything you’d need, perfect sized bathroom/laundry room, and a great deck to sit on and admire the view! We used the outdoor shower lots to help wash off after a day at the beach. We also had a fire and s’mores one night! The paddle board, canoe and kayaks were a bonus that we took advantage of and toured around on the water with my family. Nothing but positive things to say! Look forward to staying here again!

Andy’s cabin was spacious, clean, and private. While it was a bit of a drive from conveniences and popular attractions, the cabin was EXACTLY what we were looking for - namely a nice place for the family to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Honestly, we kept talking about finding a way to buy a place nearby. Except for the mosquitos, which literally came with the territory, this was a perfect place for the family to stay.

This is a little sanctuary with tranquil surroundings and a very lovely cottage. It’s better than the photos can capture. It felt immediately welcoming. The kitchen was perfect and the bed was gorgeous. I didn’t want to get up. The balcony is a great addition- a beautiful view.

It's not often that something exceeds your expectations..This cottage did, the spot is perfect, overlooking the redshore with access to the ocean...what more could you ask for. The cottage itself is well appointed with everything you might for a visit. We especially liked sitting on the porch looking at the the ocean counting the seals as they bobbed along. My wife enjoyed scanning the tidal pools. ( if you haven't been to PEI the tides are extraordinary at low tide you can seemingly walk for ever) I guess the best way to describe our experience is to say that we tried to book the cottage for the next year after only days I would absolutely recommend this cottage for anyone who loves the peace of the ocean.

This place is quite remarkable. It has such a breathtaking environment, we would have been happy if we'd have been just tenting on the property. However, nside the cabin is wonderfully accommodating; lots of sleeping spaces, a large bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and large dining and living room space. It didn't feel cramped at all. On top of that was the novelty of the antique furnishings. This was a family vacation and our teenager had plenty of space to have her alone time, yet so many fun things to draw her back to us. We ate at the picnic table facing the water daily, and she roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. The direct, easy beach access was a huge bonus! She could go down anytime she wanted. We are all avid rock hounds so this beach was an ideal place to be even if we didn't go out to enjoy many of the surrounding communities' attractions. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we're already looking forward to booking again and exploring the area more next year!
