Welcome to the 40-Acre Woods. Situated 2hrs from NYC, nestled in the Catskill Mountains and surrounded by Federally protected land, this former sheep farm has now been converted into a stunning barn-style cabin. The property is on 40+ acres, surrounded by an additional 80+ acres used as an Eagle Sanctuary. Enjoy a day’s hike, a soak in the hot tub, followed by sitting around the many fire pits while star gazing, roasting marshmallows, telling stories, and enjoying a glass of wine or bourbon.

In summer, cool off in the waterfalls & private streams, in autumn take in the stunning foliage & in winter ski/snowboard at Belleayre (25 mins away). Rental is located next to a busy road , if you are not comfortable with some traffic at certain times of the day then this may not be for you I would also note that this home is small inside but very comfortable . There is a cozy yard to relax in next to a fire pit and a table and chairs if you would like to eat outside. I will provide firewood for one night, and charcoal for grill for one night as well. Located 1/4 mile from home is a local place to purchase extra wood .
