Holiday rentals with breakfast in Nelson County

Such a beautiful place to unwind for the weekend! It’s conveniently located close to the south end of the Shenandoah NP, and there are multiple breweries and vineyards nearby if you aren’t up for hiking. Mary and David were wonderful hosts and we definitely enjoyed our interactions with them (and the furry friends). The house itself is big and homely, with a huge backyard and there’s also a patio for stargazing on clear nights. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

We visited for the weekend and had a wonderful stay. Peaceful, unique, clean - first words that come to mind when thinking of the Fenton Inn. Recommend making reservations in advance (when needed) for local dining as some of the breweries have limited seating availability due to COVID. Recommend Bold Rock for great food, views, and outdoor dining. We drove to Crabtree Falls for the day, great hike and drive along the Blue Ridge parkway which is just minutes from this location. Excited to see a couple black bear cubs!

We were there for a ski weekend at Wintergreen and everything on the mountain was booked. This place wasn’t far from the Ski Barn. The farmhouse takes you back 75-100 years. It was a real unique cozy place. It wasn’t a slope side condo, but it had a lot of real charm. I think we stumbled on a cozy gem.

The Lodge is beautiful!!! Don't hesitate on booking this home. Lovely setting, quiet and secluded. Grounds are amazing and so is the home. Don't forget to go down to the creek, it was such fun. Breweries and wineries super close by.

The Pine Meadow Retreat accommodated us and another couple beautifully, with private spaces and bathrooms for each couple and comfortable shared space, in particular the big kitchen island which easily seats four. The kitchen is spacious, up-to-date, and very well equipped. The setting is beautiful and quiet. We would gladly stay there again.

This space was as it appears on the pics and had a lot more things to do. The surrounding is beautiful and great for hiking. I loved every bit of it, from the beautiful dog to the nice chickens. This space has a lot to do and the host was good to me. Will definitely book again when I’m back that area. I recommend it.

My son and I just had an overnight stay. It was comfortable and clean and the Susan and husband were very friendly! I felt safe there and slept well. Thank you for having us. Bonus - they have a border collie and if you don’t know they are the best dogs in the world !!!

An absolute hidden gem. For the price it is a steal. The place is very well maintained and sits in a very peaceful and quiet location. It is surrounded by natural beauty on all sides! My stay was cut short, but I will definitely be returning in the near future. Can’t recommend enough!

we had a lovely sleepover. i have never stayed in an airbnb where the host lives among us. i was surprised as to how easy it was for me to feel comfortable and safe and happy. i was sad to go. having breakfast prepared for us at the hour we requested evoked a feeling only akin to that of my late-grandmom. the quilts atop the beds and sofa were so beautiful, i almost dared myself to ask if susan would ever have some for sale… thankful to a site like airbnb to allow me to find such a pleasant, beautiful home to stay in overnight on our long journey home

This was my second stay with Kathy &Martin. They offer a very pleasant experience and put out a breakfast spread of breads, delicious cobbler, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. They offer a very pleasant spot to stay in this area. I would not hesitate to book with them again.

Kathy and Martin are the best hosts ever! They went out of the way to make me feel at home and comfortable. Super friendly and their place is amazing.

Martin and Kathy have a lovely Inn. They are super nice and welcoming. My husband and I stayed for two nights to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Fall foliage, which was amazing. Having homemade bread and cakes with a hot brew coffee at the porch chatting with Martin in the mornings made the experience even better. We highly recommend this Inn and will definitely stay again. The Fenton Inn was a perfect place for a quick getaway close to home. We were able to experience the fall foliage and amazing weather for the four days we were there. The Captains quarters (room) was very clean and cozy. The breakfast they provided was a very nice touch and we always felt welcomed. We are definitely coming back.
