Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nazaré

We had an amazing stay at Carlos' villa with our group of 13 adults and 3 babies. The villa is incredibly spacious, with 12 full beds and additional sleeping options on the comfortable couches. The large garden was perfect for the kids to play in, and we thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool and spacious, clean Jacuzzi. The kitchen was slightly used but very functional, offering plenty of room and every kitchen item we could possibly need to cook for our group. The barbecue area is large, though located a little far from the kitchen by the parking area. The rooftop terrace provided stunning 360° views, and the sunsets were simply beautiful. The villa is located in a peaceful, quiet area, just a short 10-minute walk to the beach, which we loved. While walking to the beach is easy, having a car is ideal for reaching larger supermarkets, which are about a 13-minute drive away. Parking offers plenty of space Overall, this villa was the perfect choice for our large group. Highly recommended!

What an incredible apartment! It’s fully equipped, immaculately clean, and the beds are so comfortable—perfect for a good night's sleep. There are also so many useful items for kids, which makes it super convenient for families. The huge terrace and jacuzzi provide such a lovely space to relax. Surf Atlantic was overweight hoped it would be. The house itself was spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub was just what we needed at the end of our busy days to warm us up (unfortunately the weather was not kind to us!!). Despite the awful weather we got to use the bbq on our one sunny evening. Baleal itself is just stunning, beautiful beaches to walk to and some lovely places to eat. Zuzanna was super helpful and friendly. My husband needed a massage after hurting his shoulder and I can definitely recommend Zuzanna. We would definitely visit again in summer months to make the most of the garden and the beaches.

Beautiful house by the beach! We loved the peace and the view. The house is very comfortable and has a lot of charm (and a lovely little library). The kitchen especially is well-stocked. Since you’re surrounded by nature there are many spiders, snakes and lizards (mostly outside, thankfully). We visited in November and the temperature in the house really dropped at night (from 20C to 15C). The only option to heat is a small and somewhat noisy space heater, so if you visit in winter be prepared with warm clothes. That was the only thing we found difficult during an otherwise extremely pleasant stay. Pedro was a very friendly and engaged host!

It was a week of well spent vacation, where we had everything we needed in the apartment (utensils/services/machines) as communicated to us by Mr. Luis. In the vicinity there are excellent places of gastronomy with good price/quality ratio. The place is quiet and with good access both for walking and to discover new destinations by car.

What an amazing stay! From the location, which embraces nature and brings incredible calm, to the house itself, equipped with all the necessary utensils for a perfect stay. I also have to thank Adriana and her father for the ease of communication and all the attention given! It will certainly be a place to visit again!

Very nice place, close to the areas of interest in Nazaré, easy two min walk to the beach. Well equiped with all you need to cook a quick meal (in our case breakfast, as we only stayed for one night). Close to supermarkets and convenience stores and restaurants too. Joaquim was very nice, and greet us for check in accomodating to our travel schedule. Thank you, Joaquim for a nice stay at your place.

we spent a fantastic 4 weeks at Ana's cottage. The home is excellently equipped for long stays and very comfortable and warm. The garden is excellent for our dogs safety. We appreciated a lovely personal welcome and some fine wine and chocolates amongst other goodies. We are returning later this year for another long stay and would highly recommend to everyone.

Dora was super nice! The house is spectacular and has everything we need for a weekend with friends. Spacious rooms and amazing pool! We recommend this house and will definitely stay again. The hostess lives near the house but there was no problem. Thank you so much for the stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bernardo's, who was a very lovely and welcoming host. We were the first guests of the season and a storm had just past through which may have left the place a little damp. This was however the only minus regarding the stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the terrace and hammock. Even the fire pit can be used. Bernardo was super helpful and responded immediately to any questions and messages we sent. He gave us various tips for restaurants and places to see and after going to some of them we second his opinion :) Everything is a little drive away, but it makes the green cottage a nice hide away for those looking for some rest and peace. We can definitely recommend a stay at the green cottage - or one of his other little cottages.

Casa da Nelita is the place to spend a relaxed and peaceful vacation. Its location is perfect so you can switch between going to the beach and the pool. Being only 5 km from the center of São Martinho do Porto I would say is the house is great for those who want something more private and demure to rest. Nelita and her husband are kind and friendly that often doesn't find around. This makes the stay all the more enjoyable because we feel loved in your home. One thing is for sure, the next time you want to spend a holiday in São Martinho do Porto, the house of Nelita will be the first choice in the search for the place to stay. Thanks for everything!

A great apartment with everything you need. Very clean, good mattresses. The kitchen is very well equipped. However, it is already a little outdated. Fronts are already slightly damaged. Even beach equipment with bath towels, umbrellas and chairs are available. Great balconies and the view from the roof terrace is breathtaking. Private parking in the underground parking lot is a bit tight but you get used to it. The only thing that absolutely needs to be improved is storage space in the suite bathroom. A board or a shelf would help. You can really put very little down at the sink. Whining at a high level. Dino is very attentive and very nice. Responds immediately to requests and gives tips and info about his Nazaré. You can just tell he loves his homeland. All in all, a great stay in a very nice apartment that is very close to the beach and downtown. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Had such a lovely week in Nazaré. Rachelle was such a great host - we were delayed due to flight delays on arrival and she waited until 1:30am to say hi to us and show us around. She was very responsive with replies and we locked our key in the house and she dropped one off straight away! The house was really clean and had lots of cooking amenities. We opted to have the pool heated for the extra €120 and I woukd definitely recommend this as it was really warm! The property is a little bit far outside of nazare centre, so you really need to get taxis to and from town but we used Ubers a lot which were only €4 each way. We surfed most days at Praia des pareses which is a lovely beach with great waves. Overall a lovely trip. Would recommend. Only minor issue was having to be quiet after 10pm and not use the pool after this time so if you are wanting a more party week then I’d probably look at other options. For us this was fine though :) Thanks Rachelle!

This spacious home is within walking distance of the Nazare waves (visited in January), offering views from both the beach and the lighthouse. It's conveniently located for day trips to Lisbon and charming nearby towns. The home is in a quiet area, features scenic views, and includes most essentials for cooking. Note that the beds are quite firm, so consider bringing a sleeping pad if you prefer softer support. The host was friendly and provided helpful information about the area and the property.

We had a fantastic time, it was very private and relaxing. The house is very well thought out, clean and the facilities available were extraordinary. The space in the house was brilliant and having 2 bathrooms was great. The outside pool area was very private. We could have happily just stayed at the house for the week. The main town of Alcobaça was a 9min drive. The amenities in the town were second to none with every shop available. Also Being 10 min away from major motor ways , meant that traveling to Fatim, Coimbra, Nazaré, figueira da foz, and even to Lisbon and Porto do easy. It's a great base to explore Portugal.
