KuraKura BBQ, woodworking experience, outdoor fire experience in a guest house in a traditional Yoshino house
KuraKura Village is a guesthouse surrounded by the natural beauty of Yoshino, Nara. The guesthouse is a space where you can feel the warmth of timber and spend a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.Just a short drive from Kyoto and Osaka, this is a location where you can enjoy an authentic Japanese 'satoyama' experience. It is also an ideal base for sightseeing in southern Nara, including Mt Yoshino, Tenkawa Village and Asuka. As this is an area with limited public transport, we offer a pick-up and drop-off service to the nearest station (booked in advance) so that international tourists can also visit with confidence. ◾️ Popular areas Approx. 20 minutes to Tsubosakudera and approx. 25 minutes to Asuka (pick-up and drop-off service available to the nearest station, Rokuta Station) Approximately 25 minutes to Mt Yoshino (shuttle service available to the nearest station, 'Yamato-Uechimachi Station') Approximately 45–60 minutes from Amagawa Village and approximately 25–30 minutes from Kurotaki Village.(There is a shuttle service to the nearest bus stop, Shitamichiguchi Station.) Recommended for those who want to experience the 'hidden charms' of Nara at a leisurely pace. ◾️ Guests from overseas It's an area that's hard to get to by public transport alone, but there's a pick-up and drop-off service, so you can travel with peace of mind.

NISHIMURATEI OMOYA ― A 100-year-old traditional house for rent with tatami mat floor and sunken kotatsu
Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.
