Our property is a quiet, spacious, whole-floor accommodation with a lift, located in the heart of Kyoto, Kawaramachi, which is a rare find❤️ We recommend that it can comfortably accommodate between 4 and 10 people! We finalised the following details for our room in March 2026, so the experience from now on will be even better than before! We have carefully selected distinctive Japanese materials, The main wall of the living room TV area features stylish, high-end woven wallpaper with a design aesthetic. This is Japan’s largest and world-renowned wool fabric production area, and the overall space exudes a warm and cosy homey atmosphere. For this special toilet renovation, we used herringbone-patterned tiles made with a highly skilled technique using century-old tiles from Gifu Prefecture, Japan. These tiles create a three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play on them. Mino-yaki ceramics have a history of around 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these tiles for over a century; they are among the most technically challenging tiles to make. We’ve also carefully upgraded the Dyson hairdryer, as well as the Dyson bladeless fan, the fast-boiling kettle from a Japanese design brand, the brand-new Daikin air conditioner (heating and cooling) in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is sourced from Asahi Mokko, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality—three times more expensive than Chinese products. We also carefully select the bedding. We use a bed with individually pocket-coiled springs, which is why guests have mentioned in their reviews that the bed is very comfortable.We hope that when you visit Japan, you will have the opportunity to experience our attentive service, convenient facilities and excellent location. We worked hard for two years to find this quiet and elevator building, and then spent another year negotiating with the owner to convince him to buy this building, which is really run by Japanese people, so you can experience 100% of Japanese daily life! We carefully decorated more than a dozen rooms in this building with different features and styles. Each room's theme is also handmade and painted by us. It takes about a month to open a new room. We are also very happy that our three Airbnb accounts have received more than 300 5-star Superhost reviews, and because we are also very careful in choosing bedding, you can see in the reviews that many customers say our beds are very comfortable! And we also attach great importance to cleaning, everyone knows that cleaning and outsourcing is the cheapest, but you will not feel the care and warmth, so our rooms are completely cleaned with the greatest care. Most of the good Airbnb accommodations in Kyoto do not have elevators, especially the old town houses. Sometimes we travel with our parents and children, and after experiencing the fatigue and hardships of the journey, we still have to move our luggage and climb the stairs to the upstairs room. Also you can see beautiful cherry trees in the spring. Our guests can use bicycles for free!
