Our nice little house in the old Swabian style is located in the heart of the MECSEK nature reserve in the south of Hungary. If you are looking for peace, remoteness and a break from the Altag, will find it here. Directly from the house you can plan beautiful walks in the cool forests in the summer. One should not miss a trip to the only accessible on foot Kisújbánya, where you get more than fair prices right Hungarian home cooking. Trips in the vineyards are worthwhile!
“The village and the cottage are both wonderful small shelters. We really enjoyed being able to sit out in more places, depending on where the sun is shining. We loved being able to put out a fire. The kitchen is spacious, very well equipped and easy to cook. It was clean and cozy, easy to find peace of mind in this place. The only downside was the ladybird and bodybuilding invasion, which only crashed into the window when it was opened (so we didn't open it many times), but not the landlord. The house, being a classic farmhouse, is cool and dark enough to be used frequently in sunny weather.”
Built in 1904, renovated loft in 2015, two bathrooms, lockable parking, yard, oven with open-air cooking facilities
“Cornwall, UK 2 adults, 4 children (2,4,5,8) We spent a week in Erzsi’s home at the end of May 2018. We were greeted by both the host and her daughter Eva, who speaks excellent English; this was great as we do not speak any Hungarian! The house was huge; we did not use one of the bathrooms/dining room and the front bedroom. It was reasonably warm whilst we were there - around 30.c, but the inside stays lovely and cool. As well as being spacious it was very clean. The hosts left a delicious bottle of wine made by the brother in law - the only downside was it didn’t last very long! There is no washing machine, but we had the kids hand washing in the garden! There was plenty of children’s toys. We work from laptops and travel with a mobile router, so having no WIFI was not an issue for us. The garden is lovely and big, including a nice veranda. One of the neighbours brought a massive bag of cherries for the children, which was really kind. All the neighbours waved or said hello. And it is quite interesting sitting on the veranda watching the people go by. We did not go in to the local village, but there was a small bakery and a post office that we spotted. It’s about 30 minutes to the nearest larger town, but it’s a very nice drive. Don’t forget to water Erzsi’s plants and separate recycling from main rubbish 😁 If we was to ever return to this part of the world we would definitely stay again.”
Well-equipped apartment in the center of the city, with balcony, air conditioning, separate bedroom and kitchen. LCD TV in the living room and in the bedroom!
“Máté and Móni are nice, friendly, flexible and friendly hosts. The apartment is clean and comfortable, a few minutes walk from the city center. We had a great time, I recommend this hotel to everyone.”
