Just under 10 minutes from Fairlie, 40 min from Lake Tekapo and only 1.5 hr from MT Cook, is our super cute historic Farmers cottage. Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub. During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰

Black Diamond

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space at the end of a private laneway. Accessed by external steps, the house is split into two pods connected by an external deck. Lofty ceilings and timber walls create a warm bach-like interior with large ceiling fans in each room and a log burner fire. Glass sliders open out to dramatic views of the harbour and hills. Enjoy a drink or BBQ on the large deck or unwind with a hot outdoor bath. Just a 5-minute walk from the local supermarket and brew bar.

Picturesque one bedroom self contained cottage

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

For those who fancy a luxury escape; Stargaze the Milky Way from your own luxury outdoor bath, then come inside to a toasty warm fire. Enjoy the comfort of a king size bed with luxury linen, looking directly through to the lake and mountains beyond. In the bathroom, relax in our freestanding bath or enjoy a rain shower for two. Take in unobstructed views of the lake and mountains from your lounge room by day, and cosy up on the couch or wool beanbag for a movie at night. This is paradise.

The Double Tree Cottage is in an idyllic setting with expansive snow-capped mountain and farm views (seasonal). Mt Hutt Skifield, Opuke Hot Pools, Staveley Iceskating rink, DOC walking tracks and Methven Mt Hutt Village are all within a 15min drive. Located on our 32ha farm, watch sheep grazing metres from your door, native Kereru playing in the trees above you, or head out to many surrounding activities. Note: This is a mini studio style cottage so is very small and priced accordingly.

THE BIRD'S NEST - Secluded getaway!

The Birds Nest is a secluded and boutique cabin nestled amongst the tree tops and away from other houses. This luxury hideaway provides the peace and quiet of nature, whilst maintaining close proximity to all that the city and suburbs has to offer. Some highlights include relaxing in our private hot tub watching the sun set, strolls along the banks of the Heathcote river, and afternoon gelato just around the corner. The Studio on Blackford offers levels of luxury & practicality that will satisfy the most discerning traveller. We are located approximately a 1 hour drive from Christchurch & 30 minute drive from Mt Hutt ski fields. Guests will enjoy a large electric fireplace, king-size bed, flatscreen TV (which includes complimentary Netflix, Disney, Prime & Freeview) & a generous sofa — all perfect for relaxing after a day of alpine adventures, mountain biking, snow sports, hunting or hot pooling.

Explore early history, try your hand at tramping, fishing, skiing, boating & golf the area offers. Strict 2 guest policy, do not bring extra guests. We live next door.

Enjoy the hot tub under the stars, relax on the deck, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting up at the Winery, use our complimentary bikes to explore the area, with kitchen and bbq (bring your own supplies or purchase local antipasto fare at our Cellar Door), luxury bedding, bluetooth sound and with breakfast included.

We are close to conservation parks, local walking tracks including the Sharplins fall track , Staveley Ice skating rink and Mt Hutt ski field. Methven is just 15 minutes drive. Ideal for couples, trampers, adventurers, and families. Families with toddlers need to be aware that a small creek runs through the property.
