Effie's Cottage is a unique 175+ year old "antique" Dutch cottage typical to the beautiful island of Saba. Built in the "Saban style" it has beamed ceilings and pitched roofs that resemble the upturned hull of a ship. The interior is spacious and has been modernized with all new fixtures and appliances. Located in the major settlement of Windwardside it is a short walk to shops, churches and local eateries. There is no better way to experience the true character of the Dutch Caribbean!

Beautiful traditional Saba Cottage

This charming 2 bedroom Saba cottage was built in 2007 yet anyone walking by would think the home is one of the original Saba homes. The exterior of the home follows the traditional Saba gingerbread style while the interior is modern and spacious. Located directly in the quaint village of Windward side yet adjacent to the museum and it's beautiful gardens. It's just a short stroll to Windward side's restaurants, bars, stores as well as the start of the hiking trail to Mount Scenery.

This property in Windwardside features stunning views of the blue Caribbean, the misty top of spectacular Mt. Scenery, and the picturesque village below. On my 30th trip to Saba in 2019 I bought the 1858 vintage Althea Cottage. In 2021 I completed a second stone house for myself at the rear. In 2022 a second stone apartment, Peter Hytte, was built between the two other cottages... smaller, priceworthy and efficient. All net income is donated to my charities. I charge no cleaning fee.

nice villa with private pool, where "you can feel good" as the tenants already say; by the pool,a small living room to have breakfast in the morning or an aperitif in the evening. Under a gazebo a dining area if you prefer to dine under the gazebo. The villa is on the heights of Colombier,it is super well equipped and very well-located, at equal distance from shops , the best restaurants and beaches,all more beautiful than the others.

My stay at the airbnb was amazing! At arrival Georgine’s dad picked me up from the airport and helped me to check in. Georgiane is an amazing host. She responds quick and helps where needed. The studio was very clean and well kept. I even got cleaning service during my stay. So it was a very pleasant stay for me!

A Quiet Getaway.

this is a fabulous place...perfect for hiking and enjoying the nature. it is in distance to Oranjestad, but my hosts were angels in helping me. I was picked up from the ferry and we stopped at the local supermarket to get food for my stay...i was instructed what i could see and visit. i walked 29 kms in 3 days. but Zevers also has rental cars to hire....as i was stressed out i gladly enjoyed to hike. the accomodation had a super nice modern and clean kitchen. i made my breakfast there and enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant named SUPER BURGER [offered excellent local lunch]. i loved this place so much....and i have to confess that i came as a stranger and went as a friend. such fabulous people. . i love you and thanks so much for everything

I stayed with my mom at Jeffrey's place and it was perfect for relaxing in Saba for a few days. Jeff was wonderful host - booked a taxi to pick us up from the ferry and helped us with arranging alternative plans when our ferry out to Statia was cancelled last minute. The cottage is lovely - amazing views, cozy inside and out, everywhere on Windward Side is walkable, cafe and grocery shops just down the short hill, the tourist office is around around the corner and they're super helpful with getting taxis and figuring out activities. They can also tell you where to find the best locally made Saba spiced rum. Everyone was kind and lovely. I would definitely return to the cottage on my next visit to Saba!
