Rokkenan is a simple inn surrounded by nature. There are no private houses within 100 meters, so you can enjoy a relaxing time. During the day, you can hear the birds chirping, and it is blissful to spend a relaxing time rocking in hammocks. If you're lucky, you might even see wild birds, deer, foxes, raccoons, and other wildlife. Because it is a natural environment, there are also various insects. Rokkenan is perfect for nature lovers. On a clear day, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Daisetsuzan mountain range. Hiking in the summer and skiing or snowboarding in the winter with its high-quality powder snow. Rokkeian is about 300 m from the ski resort and about 200 m from the hot spring facility, so you can reach them on foot. The hot springs after enjoying winter sports are exceptional. The room is a Japanese-style room with tatami mats and is equipped with a traditional Japanese sunken fireplace, so you can enjoy a barbecue indoors. This log house is a 15-minute drive from Asahikawa Airport and a 3-minute walk from Kita-Biei Station. From the window you can see the melancholy single-wire train. The loft has manga, books, a collection of Ghibli puzzles made by the owner, and a projector to enjoy movies and anime on a big screen. In summer and autumn, you can also enjoy barbecues outside. Cooking appliances are also available, so you can easily buy ingredients and cook. The owner is nearby, so if you have any questions, I am always available to help. There are dogs, cats, goats, ducks, and chickens. If you're lucky, you might be able to interact with them. Breakfast usually includes rice balls. We renovated an old farmhouse in a farming village that produces delicious Hokkaido rice as a private hideaway space. We are currently trying to lead the life of a small farmer in a slightly inconvenient environment, and are continuing to improve the facilities. Please enjoy the entire building and the entire premises. You will procure ingredients in the surrounding area, cook rice over a fire, and cook and eat your own meals. Chop firewood, light a fire in a pot, and take a bath with water boiled by yourself. Experience an inconvenient life in such a troublesome accommodation.

If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Taisetsuzan. The water that comes out of the faucet is underground water from Mt. Taisetsuzan. It is safe and delicious drinking water that has undergone water quality testing. You can use the grand piano (YAMAHA C3X espressivo). Parking for up to 4 cars is available free of charge.

EZ’s House

It was only a tiny idea for our destination photography studio base, that also offers a relaxing space for clients to enjoy their shootings. Then it became more ambitious and more detailed. In collaboration with a famous design studio in Hokkaido, and a long-established construction company in the Biei-Furano area, we have brought this project to life. It is not just a house to us, but a piece of art, a place to escape from the hustle and bustle.
