Our country house is in the Loire Valley, famous for it's Chateaux such as Amboise, Chaumont, Blois, Chenonceau or Chambord, all of which are a stone's throw. Originally from England I have lived in the area for 30 years and can help you enjoy your vacation without the language barrier. Cycle paths run along the Loire river - bikes can be rented in nearby Chaumont, or you can take a lazy boat trip down the river or hire canoes. Wine tasting of local Touraine wine is close by, as is Beauval Zoo.

It is located in the heart of the Loire castles (Château de Chenonceau, Cheverny, Chaumont sur Loire, Amboise, Blois, Montpoupon...) and 23 km from Beauval zoo. It is located in the village of Pontlevoy with bakery open from 6:30 am except Wednesdays and a Carrefour Contact ( 8am/8pm except Sunday 9am/1pm) nearby. It is a well-equipped cottage on the guest plot with a small private garden.
