Congo Camp House in the forest

Rustic, character filled, architect designed cabin with a master loft and two small bedrooms constructed largely from recycled building materials, located in a rural-residential area on 5 acres of forest close enough to the ocean you can hear it in the distance. There are neighbours but it's relatively private. Just to be absolutely clear, the Camp House is not 'on' the beach but it's close. It takes about four minutes to get to Congo Beach by car. We are 'pet friendly'. Max guests - six people.

We have lots of wood for the fire in winter, the outdoor bath is wonderful for stargazing & the (shared) swimming pool heaven on a hot day. We can also provide transport at a competitive fare to & from nearby walking trails, wedding venues & wineries.

My place is a cosy original beach house. The cottage is a very homely small house with good character. Two verandas on which to relax & unwind depending on the time of day. Located close to several beaches, the closest being 200m down the road. Café 366 at Mosquito Bay. Malua Bay shops are a 2 min drive, includes supermarket, bottle shop, take away, butcher/deli/coffee, newsagent. Reverse cycle AC & portable fans supplied. If you're after a space to relax, then this is the place for you.

We had a lovely long weekend staying at Fei's home in cool winter weather, warmed by the log fire in the lovely open plan main space. The house was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable. The local coastal scenery, including rivers, mountains and wildlife is delightful and within a two minute drive. Fei was responsive and helpful, and we felt totally refreshed after our stay.

Nick’s place was a fantastic home away from home for my family! The house is clean, well laid out, spacious and has so much sunlight coming from the doors and windows. The view of the river through the tree is a bonus while the deck is a fun and safe place for my kids to play. We loved the selection of books! I would highly recommend spending some time to go through the shelf and pick some you’d like the most to read. Just a 4 minute drive to South Head Beach which is a beautiful one. Moruya town is just 5 minutes away. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. I don’t think the photos do justice to them - especially the master bedroom. Nick is super responsive and went above and beyond to help us with our request. Even though he just opened the house to guests for a month, he has great passion to provide a valuable experience for his guests and he is keen to improve it. We would definitely love to come back. Thanks Nick for an amazing stay!

Lovely spot with an amazing view out over the river. We spent a lot of time out on the deck, with a glass of wine and a book. Place was exactly as described. Suzie was a great host. Very responsive, obviously cares about providing a quality option and very friendly and easy going during checking.
