Our stay at Val-des-Monts was Outstanding. We have travelled the world staying in over 100 accommodations - Marcelle and Michels place would be in our top 5. The house is stunning, beautifully furnished with high quality fixtures and attention to detail. It was a wonderfully relaxing 4 days and we were able to fully appreciate this beautiful part of Canada. Every aspect of the House was first class and it has a lovely ambience. M&M were responsive and helpful to any minor questions we had. An added bonus was the Sauna which was a new experience for us but one we really appreciated. Only negative was we wished we had booked to stay longer! We will certainly look to return in the near future

I had an absolutely rejuvenating stay in this beautiful chalet. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, with several comfortable and intimate spaces where you can really unwind. The rooms are well spaced from each other, allowing everyone to enjoy moments of calm and privacy. Laura is a caring host and always available when needed, while respecting our peace of mind. And what can we say about the lake... a true haven of peace. The water is clear, the landscape superb. It's a perfect place to reconnect with yourself or simply enjoy the silence. I leave rested, happy, and already nostalgic. I recommend this little corner of paradise without hesitation.

What a gem! Don’t hesitate to book Magdalena’s little slice of heaven in the trees. The moment we opened the front door we felt right at home! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is larger than it looks from the outside, with tons of space to share time or have some privacy. I brought my 16 year old for a few days to hike and relax and she LOVED having her own “wing” with the screened in porch outside her bedroom. Magdalena was so responsive and helpful, but there was absolutely nothing we needed. Check in was a breeze, the house was easy to navigate, and we loved every minute! The beds were SUPER cozy, and I was greeted by deer in the window in the morning sunrise. If you love to cook, the kitchen is fabulous with a great oven and well-equipped. We always go to Les Fougeres for a meal when we’re in town, and it’s just 5 minutes down the road. Make a reservation and check it out for a beautiful dinner! Thanks Magdalena for being an incredible host!

Ken's lovely little two storey house is located by the Gatineau river a short walk from the pubs and restaurants of Wakefield. The Friday night of the week we were there Earle's Restaurant had a jazz and dinner evening, and the Kaffe'e 1870 pub across the street followed with a blazing three rock band night. Great stuff. The house is charming, the modern kitchen has all the standard appliances, these functioned very well and everything is set within a country kitchen design which included a marvellous wood stove. The bedrooms - and the beds -were very comfortable. A calm setting with a sound system down stairs which really worked.
